OK, it's cold, we are all stressed and have been tense for a long time. After a long hiatus, I started seeing clients in August, 2021. I am so happy to being able to the work I love and seeing clients who have been waiting a long time and new clients as well.
I am following COVID protocols, which include; the building's HVAC is being filtered, I also have a filter in the room. Clients and I both wear masks, and I am fully vaccinated and although it's a little awkward, I will ask what is your vaccination status. With the Omicron variant still at large, and even those who are vaccinated, can still get it, I am being extra careful. This may not be appropriate, but I had an older family member die from it and unfortunately, her immediate family, were all positive. Vaccines were not available then. I understand that people have their reasons for not getting the vaccine, and I respect that. However, if I get sick and have to quarantine, it affects my clients and me.
I know that this a long message, but I care for my clients safety and mine as well. I hope everyone is well in body and mind and can find time to play (not necessarily computer games) :-).
For those of you who are stressed about current events, and who isn't, I assure you that as soon as I am safely able to provide services again, I will gladly do so.
As of last week, I chose to temporarily pause my services understanding that it wouldn't be possible to safely gurantee the safety of my environment. Now, it is manestoy per executive order from the state massage therapist temporarily close our doors.
My hope is that it won't be for long. I am looking forward getting back to doing the work I love. I am still trying to figure out how to provide services remotely. ☺ Let me know if you have any thoughts.
If you too are feeling hopeful, feel free to purchase gift certificates at discounted rates, even if you are a current client.
I wish you good physical and mental health.

Valentine's Day gifts of massage are good bet and are in sale. However, I always encourage people to take the time to go to my website to get an idea of my practice and style. Of course, you know the recipient best and know if they would love to have time where they can completely relax and get away.

Let's all take a deep breath as the Holiday Season gears up. Gift Certificates are on sale but before you purchase one, consider if the recipient will really appreciate it and use the certificate. That can be a little tricky if you are trying to surprise someone.
Most if the time, people are very happy to get the gift of massage and afterwards say that they never realized how much they needed it. Don't play the porcupine trick (see below) :-)

Welcome everyone new to the area. I look forward to meeting you. New clients receive $15 off their first appointment of 60 minutes or more and $10 off for 30 or 45 minutes.
I took an introductory course in Integrative Mmanual Lymphatic Drainage with Acupressure and Essential Oils on Friday. Interesting class and I was pleased to find that I already incorporate some of the techniques in my current work. I am in the process of deciding to get certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and am interested in hearing about people's experience with it and if clients and potential clients would find value in having the option of this type of modality.
So it's starting to get hot. Thank goodness my office is nice and cool. Looking forward to meeting new people as the Summer semesters start. A massage is great after moving.
Pollen getting you down? Massage therapy is great for sinus problems and everything else. Mothers Day and graduation time are not far off and gift certicates are a great way to say thank-you and congratulations.
Spring will come, I promise. In the meantime, a massage in a cozy room with a heated table and an experienced massage therapist might just help relieve those remaining Winter blues.

Yes it's a New Year, and it's cold and some of us are wondering, what can we do to feel more in balance.
The answer might be to get a massage in a warm room with a heated table with an experienced massage therapist. Just a thought.
