4 years without you…

Jennifer, you were so many things to me—a mentor, work wife, business partner, and most importantly, my best friend.

Your personality, laugh, and sense of humor elevated every room you walked into. I miss you, and quite honestly, I miss the person I was when you were around.

I’ve moved, and I continue to do cosmetic injecting, working with women to help them feel and look their best. I like to say that I didn’t move on from you—I brought you along with me. I’m surrounded by strong, hardworking, and compassionate women at Cove Spa and Wellness. You would love it here.

I have clients ask me who the beautiful woman is in the portrait. I explain that you were there at the very beginning of Birdie’s Branch, when we were both starting our journeys as Botox injectors. I also talk about the heartbreak of losing you so tragically at the hands of your longtime boyfriend in a murder-suicide.

Even though it’s a sad and heavy topic, I never hesitate to talk about it. Because it’s your story, and your story deserves to be heard.

It took me a long time to stop trying to understand the why, and even longer to stop asking myself what questions I could have asked or what warning signs I could have seen.

The truth is, we cannot underestimate mental health—our own or that of the people around us.

If you or someone you know is struggling, speak up. Reach out. Find support. You don’t have to carry it alone.

Four years later, I still miss you. I still talk about you. And I’ll continue to carry a piece of you with me wherever I go.

Always my friend. 🧡
