I am Amber Berger, originally from a small town in Eastern Iowa with a population of about 402 and now happily located in the Carroll, Iowa area. I have been a Cosmetologist for about 10 years and recently became a licensed Barber as well. Not only do I specialize in men’s hair but also different textures of hair. I frequently visit the barber college I attended and often will have videos of barbers showing techniques playing in the salon. As a mother of 3, I totally get that sometimes you’re in a rush to get your hair done or sometimes you’re wanting to get pampered and relax. That’s why I offer a la carte services with online scheduling and complimentary refreshments. For men it could mean a 20 minute haircut or an hour cut, wash, and hot towel shave. Women it could mean a 20 minute cut or 3 hour cut, color, and blowout. Growing up as a hard working mechanics daughter with a stay at home mother, I spent a lot of time in the shop, while I might say working on cars, I was really just playing with all my dad’s cool stuff and don’t know hardly anything about vehicles but I learned a very masculine sense of humor and bring a lot of that masculinity to my decor choices.
