Many of you have been asking for an update on Ricky so here it is! He and his wife Belinda Pirkle Hays came to visit me the other week and I could have cried!
Here’s the most resent update (it’s a long one, but worth the read 🤍)
Ricky Hays, was admitted to Emory on December 18, 2025 with congestive heart failure. At the time, none of us realized just how serious things would become. Just 22 days later, on January 9, 2026, he was placed on the transplant list and had to remain in the hospital due to the severity of his condition. We didn’t know how long the wait would be.
Then, God showed up in the biggest way.
Only 19 days later, on January 28, Ricky received his new heart—an absolute miracle.
After a few bumps along the way, he was transferred to rehab for physical therapy and finally made it home on March 28, after spending 98 days in the hospital. When he first came home, he was completely wheelchair-bound. But through so much hard work, determination, and countless prayers, he has come so far.
Today, he no longer needs assistance with mobility, and every milestone—big and small—has been celebrated along the way.
And now, as of today (May 27, 2026), they got the most amazing news. After 160 days, Ricky received something simple but incredibly meaningful… his RETURN TO WORK — NO RESTRICTIONS 🎉
This comes just one day shy of being 4 months post-transplant. He will be returning to work on Monday!
If you could, please continue to keep Ricky and his family in your prayers as he steps into this next chapter. It’s something we once didn’t know if he would ever be able to do.
God is so good. Prayers work. Miracles happen every single day.

It’s been a while… so let me reintroduce myself 🤍
I’m Abby, the owner of Ever Grace Esthetics ✨ I’m a solo esthetician, and before you ask—no, this isn’t a side job. This is my full-time career, something I’ve built with so much passion and pride over the last 7 years.
After working at a med spa for almost 5 years, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business in December 2023 and wow, it’s been so amazing to see how far my little dream has come 🥹
Of course I love helping my clients feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable—but I also want you to know the person behind the service 🤍
I’m a Christian, born and raised in church, and my faith is a huge part of who I am. I love Jesus and try to carry that love into everything I do ✝️
When I’m not working, I’m usually at home spending time with my super supportive family (they mean everything to me). I’m a total weirdo in the best way 😂 I love horror movies, anything spooky, and yes… fall is 100% my favorite season 🍂 Give me cozy weather, pumpkin spice, and a blanket on the couch watching Twilight with a coffee and I’m happy.
I’m also a huge animal lover with a sweet little pup named Coco 🐾
And just so you know when you’re in my room, I’m basically your personal diary 🤭 Whatever you tell me stays with me. No judgment ever, just advice if you want it and a safe space to be yourself (which is so important in my line of work).
I’m more of a stay in kind of girl, but I do love a good shopping day with my bestie 🛍️
