🏡 Meet The Whitaker, our Triangle Parade of Homes entry and the first home taking shape at Forrest Creek Estates.

Over the next several weeks, we’re taking you behind the scenes to show you how we build, why certain decisions matter, and the details that go into creating a home long before you ever see the finished spaces.

First up: the elevated theater room.

🛠️ Not all floors are built the same.

At The Whitaker, we upgraded to a double I-joist system beneath the theater room to create a stronger, more solid floor system with less flex and movement. With the family room directly below, it’s one of those decisions designed around how the home will actually be lived in every day.

Once the drywall goes up, you may never see this detail again, but you’ll feel the difference.

We can’t wait for you to see the finished home during Parade of Homes. Until then, get ready for plenty of behind-the-scenes looks as The Whitaker comes together in Hillsborough.

Downstairs is all about open living: a big family room, a kitchen built for real life, including a scullery and an additional pantry.

The living space flows straight out to the porch for outdoor living, with a brick fireplace anchoring it all.

This is one of the biggest lots in Mordecai, deep, private, and pool-ready. Outdoor living isn't an afterthought here, it's part of the plan.

🧱 It's the little steps that make a big difference.

White mortar looks great until red clay mud splashes up and stains it. So before that happens, we lay down mulch around the perimeter to protect it from day one.

Small step. Huge difference in how your home looks for years to come. That's what "custom" really means.
