It Might Get Hairy

There’s something so special about working in a field that marries creative artistry with understanding people. In as much as I am learning about a client’s hair and vision for it, I get to learn about them! Being trusted not only with a clients hair, but glimpses of who they are, is truly such a gift. I am genuinely grateful to each client who sits in my chair for letting me get to know them. 🍂

As Beyoncé once said, “who run the world- CURLS”! Did I get that right?? While all hair types are uniquely thrilling to work with, I’ll never tire of just how many ways curls can be manipulated to create fun shapes and flourishes. It is never the wrong move to use every one of your cowlicks, widows peaks, and waves to make a haircut pop! It’s amazing what you can unlock when you work with the palette you were born with 🎨

Not unlike a thumbprint, mullets are one of a kind 🫆 I’m seeing more and more alternative cuts being brilliantly represented on every texture and pattern. While I do many many a mullet in the average week, I maintain that one of the most exciting facets of my job is creatively curating even the most “basic” cut to an individual’s unique head or hair.

I love the detail work that goes into adding statement texture like this. While a lot of popular alt haircuts right now lean into natural wave and curl, that doesn’t exclude straight or fine hair from the party! Utilizing workable texture products like ‘s Zigzag, Badlands, and Halfpipe- a little styling goes a long way! Sometimes we just need a a touch tooth and grit to emphasize layers and bring out that grungy goodness. 😎

⛓️ This modeling opportunity is completely free to you, and will be highlighting a chrome theme. As a model, you would be giving full creative license and vision to myself and the photoshoot team. Professional hair, makeup, and photography is provided. Wardrobe would be collaborated with model.
My look is going to be leaning into avant-garde, futuristic, high-fashion, ethereal cyber chrome vibes. Drawing inspiration from Tomihiro Kono. ‼️ DM me with “Model Inquiry” to apply! Please provide photos of your hair currently, along with a 2 year hair history any relevant experience (modeling, dance, theatre, talents, etc.)

🪲Day 1 {April 6} haircut will be completed along with any necessary coloring services, and preparations will made for the next day.

🪲Day 2 {April 7} Modeling day! This is an all day event. It is suggested to bring snacks and a book. We will begin with hair styling, outfit changes, and makeup artistry by a professional team. From there our talented photographer will be present to capture images of the final look. We will be working with and !
🔮Prospect models must be 18+ and:
•Be available April 6th and 7th, as well as a date prior to the shoot for consultation and nail fitting.
•Have no previous dark color in the last 6 months (unless that dark color is solid black). Priority will be given to potential models with virgin hair.
•Be comfortable handing over FULL creative control for this vision. Shoulder length hair is preferred, as we will be doing a French bob/Hime bob. Hair extensions and decor will be added over top of the cut and removed at the end of the shoot.
•Be comfortable modeling in front of a camera for photos and videos. You may be asked to pose in unique and dramatic positions alone and with other models, lip sync, etc. Modeling/dance experience is amazing, but not necessary.

Loooove a big chop. The seasons are beginning to change! 🌸 I’ve been seeing an uptick lately in these fun, versatile shullet/bixie hybrids. I’m sure there’s a name for it, but whatever you call them- they’re super cute! Being able to enjoy the comfort of short hair while still incorporating stylistic flair is what it’s all about 🤩

I love my curly clients! 😻 Waves and curls make such an amazing base for creating volume, shape, and s**g in a cut. How dainty and sweet are these naturally styled bangs, too?
