About two years ago, another massage establishment moved into our plaza. Since then, I’ve experienced an increase in men contacting City Escape Spa explicitly asking for sexual services or “happy endings.”

I’m not making accusations about another business. I can only speak about what I’ve personally experienced.

It has gotten to the point where I’ve had to limit massage services because my safety comes first, and unfortunately, that also affects my income.

I’ve brought my concerns to property management, but with 9 months remaining on my lease, I’m now facing some difficult decisions.

Massage therapy is a legitimate profession. Massage therapists deserve to work without being sexualized or made to feel unsafe.

Sometimes success doesn’t feel like success.
