My lovely client wanted more dimension and brightness toward the ends while keeping the top darker for that soft, lived-in balayage feel. We opted for a rich mocha brown to add warmth & depth throughout.

Finished with a fresh trim + a few layers. 🤎✨

When in doubt, go purple! 🤭💜

My lovely client was ready to try something different, so we created highlights throughout her hair, while the sections that weren’t highlighted were toned down with a dark brown close to her natural color to create a more even, dimensional base.

Her hair had previously been colored with many different shades, especially through the ends. Since those areas had experienced the most color changes, we chose to remove about 2–3 inches so we wouldn’t be left with dull or uneven ends.

And then I mixed Dark Matter + Elixir from Pulp Riot to create this beautiful purple! 💜

This color was achievable because she doesn’t use box dye, and we haven’t used permanent color or changed her color too often. A cleaner color history makes a HUGE difference when lifting the hair for vivids!

✨ BRIGHTER BLONDE JOURNEY ✨

Our goal from the beginning has been to get her back to a brighter, lighter blonde! But because we were starting with a much darker brown and the seasons were changing, we wanted to gradually warm and lighten her hair while keeping the health of her hair our priority.

We had another appointment in June that unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of 🥲 — but each session has helped us get closer to her goal!

At our most recent appointment, we were able to create a prettier, brighter blonde while still maintaining the integrity of her hair.

When it comes to major color changes, healthy hair > rushing the process. Trying to get everything done in one appointment can lead to unnecessary dryness, breakage, and damage. That’s why we work in sessions, schedule trims, and give your hair time to recover between lightening services. ✂️

We toned down her natural lighter base, added depth throughout, and kept subtle ribbons of brightness for a natural, lived-in foilage/balayage finish. The perfect refresh without losing all the dimension she loves!

Today’s goal was to soften her blonde and not cover it up. We toned everything down while keeping those pops of brightness, then gave her a fresh trim and layers to bring back movement and body!
