Poinsettia Mandela Soap | First Attempt!

Here’s my first attempt at the Mandela soap design! I created this for the November soap challenge and submitted it in the non-competitive bonus category since the dots are a little messy. Inspired by the Christmas and holiday season, I designed these bars as poinsettias, blending vibrant colors with festive holiday vibes. While I usually stick to natural colorants, I used Micas for this design to capture the bold hues.

The soap is crafted with luxurious, skin-loving ingredients and scented with a delightful mix of peppermint, strawberry, and orange essential oils for a sweet, Christmasy aroma. These bars will be ready in early December—perfect for the holiday season!

This is my entry for the November 2024 Soap Challenge Club. This month’s challenge focused on crafting intricate mandala designs within soap—a fun and exciting new technique for me to explore. After experimenting with different approaches, I chose a more textured, painting-style mandala design for my final creation.

I’m proud to introduce Mandala in Full Bloom, inspired by my love for flowers and the beauty of spring. The soap’s base features rich black charcoal, and for the first time ever, I used micas to achieve the vibrant colors in the mandala design. Traditionally, I work with natural colorants, so this was an exciting departure from my usual process. To complete the experience, I blended lime and peppermint essential oils to create a refreshing, margarita-like aroma.

A heartfelt thank you to Amy Warden for her incredible tutorial and the opportunity to try something new. This challenge was as rewarding as it was intricate, requiring patience, time, and a steady hand. I’m thrilled with how this bar turned out and hope it brings the same joy it brought me while creating it!
