If you're one of the people who are trying to nip their high blood pressure in the bud, try out this tea recipe:

Blood Pressure Support Tea 🫖

🌿 1.5 tsp dried Oatstraw

🌿 1/2 tsp dried Hawthorn berries

🌿 1/2 tsp dried Hibiscus

🌿1/2 tsp dried Nettle

Instructions:

💙 After blending, add 1 tablespoon of herb blend to your strainer/mug and cover with 8 oz of just-boiled water.

💙 Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes.

💙 Strain and enjoy 1-2 cups daily for heart and blood pressure support!

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), about 70-80% of your magnesium intake should ideally come from your diet to meet the recommended daily allowance (RDA). But up to 85% of the US population is deficient in magnesium and a lot of people don't even know it! 😬

You can easily up your magnesium intake by eating these foods (Based on 100 g (3.5 oz) portions):

🥬 Leafy Greens: Spinach (cooked) (88 mg), Swiss chard (cooked) (86 mg), and kale (raw) (47 mg).

🌰 Nuts: Almonds (268 mg), Brazil nuts (376 mg), and cashews (260 mg).

🌾 Whole Grains: Quinoa (64 mg), brown rice (43 mg)

🫘 Legumes: Pinto beans (50 mg), kidney beans (45 mg), and lima beans (74 mg)

🍌 Fruits: Bananas (27 mg), avocados (29 mg), and figs (68 mg).
