Why I don't do volume lashes?
First off, volume lashes can look absolutely beautiful when you first get them done, so why wouldn't I offer them in my salon? It makes business sence, groups of lashes placed at the same time to less natural lashes... Less time = more money right?
So when the volume lash craze started I learned the technique, mastered it and used it on clients. This is what I noticed through my experience and in my opinion. Each and every client left with beautiful, full, thick and Shiny lashes that would look amazing on any magazine cover, but when they came back for their 2 week fill appointments. I was not happy about the way volume lashes grew out. Where the fills I did for "Classic LASH" clients (one extension per one eyelash) the shedding usually was spread out and not very apparent with classic lashes you were only losing one lash/extension of 90-140 of the extensions per eye. Where as the volume lashes fan out to take up space. Usually these lashes are lighter in weight than your Classic Lash but instead of one to one up to 140 individually placed on 1 natural lash . it's 3-7 (some even up to 10- 15) more EXTENSIONS clumped together shaped in a fan shape and placed in groups to only about 20-40 natural lashes. When the lash with that fan sheds it leaves obvious gaps in your extensions you'll have to live with until your next fill. After my personal experience I desided only "classic lash" was right for me and my clients and their natural lash health.
Many clients that have come to me for removal of volume lashes from other lash artists that were not careful or excact in the placement of volume lashes thus putting the clients natural lash health in jeopardy leaving gaps where the lashes were pulled out, broken, or the hair follicles weekend with glue or, build up and debree at the lash line, this gunks up and sufficates the hair follicles thus making the natural lashes week and waxy, clients came to me expressing they were not able to get them as clean, no matter how often they cleaned them with volume lashes.

So for the lash health of my clients, and my experience and personal veiw only do Classic style lash extensions. They're cleaner, safer for your natural lashes, plus they grow out and shed beautifully!
