Your Massage Should Be About YOU
One of the first things I want to know when you get on my table is:
“What is bothering you?”
Your massage isn't a routine that I simply repeat from one client to the next.
Where is your pain? What movements bother you? What feels restricted? What have you noticed changing in your body?
Those answers help guide the session.
My work focuses on pain management, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy, with each session tailored to what I find and what you’re experiencing.
If you're looking for more than a one-size-fits-all massage, I'd love to work with you.

The 30-Minute Movement Check
Here’s a simple challenge for today:
Every 30–60 minutes, change your position.
If you’ve been sitting, stand up.
If you’ve been standing, walk around.
Roll your shoulders. Stretch your arms overhead. Take a few slow steps around the room.
Our bodies generally appreciate movement and variety. Staying in one position for long periods can contribute to stiffness and discomfort, especially if you already deal with tight muscles.
You don’t need an hour-long workout for movement to count.
Small movement breaks throughout your day can add up.
Set a reminder on your phone today and see how your body feels by this evening.

You are allowed to have a day where you don’t accomplish everything.
We often measure a “good day” by how much we checked off the list. But your mind and body need recovery just as much as they need productivity.
Sometimes self-care looks like getting things done.
Sometimes it looks like saying no.
Sometimes it looks like going to bed early, sitting quietly for ten minutes, taking a walk, or giving yourself permission to leave something until tomorrow.
Rest is not something you have to earn.
What is one thing you can take off your plate this week?

Massage Doesn't Have to Hurt
“No pain, no gain” does not have to apply to massage therapy.
Therapeutic work can be effective without leaving you gripping the table and holding your breath.
I pay attention to how your tissues respond and adjust pressure and techniques accordingly. The goal isn’t to see how much pressure you can tolerate. The goal is to work with your body to help improve movement and reduce areas of tension and restriction.
You should be able to communicate with me throughout your session.

Neck & Shoulder Reset
Do you catch yourself carrying your shoulders up toward your ears?
Stress, driving, computer work, and looking down at our phones can leave the muscles around the neck and shoulders feeling tight by the end of the day.
Try this quick reset:
Sit or stand tall and allow your arms to relax by your sides. Slowly lift your shoulders toward your ears, hold for 3 seconds, then exhale and intentionally let them drop.
Repeat 5 times.
Then gently bring your right ear toward your right shoulder until you feel a comfortable stretch along the left side of your neck. Hold for 20–30 seconds and switch sides.
Nothing should be forced or painful.
Sometimes a minute of intentional movement is enough to remind your body that it doesn’t have to hold onto all that tension.

New week, new opportunity to take care of yourself.
If pain, tightness, or limited movement has been interfering with your day, this might be the week to stop putting yourself at the bottom of the list.
I have a few massage appointments available this week for clients looking for focused therapeutic work.
My sessions may include myofascial release and trigger point therapy to address areas of restriction, tension, and discomfort.
Please check my openings by hitting the "Book Now" prompt on my website.

Nothing means more to me than hearing that a client is feeling better.
One of the best parts of my work is helping people who have been dealing with ongoing pain finally experience some relief.
Every session is individualized because every person's body, pain and needs are different. I listen to what you're experiencing and customize your session rather than following the same routine for everyone.
Thank you to every client who has trusted me with their care and taken the time to leave a review.
If you've been searching for therapeutic massage focused on pain relief, I'd love the opportunity to work with you.

Sitting for long periods can leave your hip flexors feeling tight and restricted.
Here's a simple hip flexor stretch you can try at home.
Step 1:
Kneel with one knee on the floor and the opposite foot planted in front of you.
Step 2:
Keep your chest upright and gently shift your hips forward until you feel a stretch through the front of the hip of the leg that's kneeling.
Step 3:
Keep your core gently engaged and avoid arching your lower back. For a little more stretch, you can reach your arms overhead.
Step 4:
Hold for 20–30 seconds while breathing slowly and comfortably.
Step 5:
Release, switch sides, and repeat 2–3 times on each side.
You should feel a gentle stretch, not sharp or worsening pain. If this movement doesn't feel right for you, stop.
Save this post so you have it the next time your hips feel tight.

Today, we pause to remember.
September 11 is a day that forever changed our nation and the lives of so many families. We honor those who lost their lives, the loved ones who continue to carry their memory, and the first responders and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
May today remind us of the importance of compassion, kindness, unity, and taking care of one another.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

You don't have to have everything figured out today.
Some days you're productive.
Some days you're exhausted.
Some days you're motivated.
Some days you're simply trying to get through the day.
Give yourself permission to have those days without judging yourself for them.
Pay attention to how stress is affecting your body. Take a break when you need one. Step outside. Take a few deep breaths. Talk to someone you trust. Give yourself quiet time.
Taking care of your mental and emotional well-being isn't something you should only do when you're overwhelmed.
You deserve care on the ordinary days, too.
Take care of your mind. Take care of your body. Take care of yourself.
I'm here to help.
