On March 21st 2020 it was announced that as of 8:00pm and until further notice, all Hairdressers & Barbers were no longer allowed to conduct business within the state of New York. We’ve always been a constant part of so many peoples lives. Been there for the first haircuts, new jobs, proms/weddings as well as the losses, divorces, and negative diagnosis. How now while the world was on pause we’re we told you’re not needed? We fully understand why it had to happen but the core of what we do is being there for people when they need us the most and unfortunately that was something taken from us that we’ve yet to fully get back. I truly believe that there is ALWAYS a perspective to be gained, good or bad. This last year has taught us all the greatest lesson of resilience we’ve ever known. To go back to basics, be grateful for what’s most important and to just be better. I look forward to the day we can celebrate together and to comfort each other like we used to. Until then, I am thankful for today and the opportunity to be better ❤️

We survived the summer, now we’re ready for the Fall 🎃🌻🍎🍏

Let the color correction begin! We are so excited to be officially opening back up today. If you haven’t received a phone call from us to reschedule your previous appointments yet it’s coming. We’re doing everything we can to rebook 10 1/2 weeks worth of appts in as soon as possible. To all my fellow hairdressers & barbers welcome back and let the sighs of happy hair begin 💇🏼‍♀️💇🏻‍♂️❤️

We are so excited to announce that we are re-opening! We have extended our schedules to accommodate as many clients as we can and we’re rescheduling appointments starting with those originally scheduled for the week we were shutdown. With all the new state mandates restricting a lot of what all hairdressers and barbers used to be able to do, we are asking you to be please be patient with us at this time. If you haven’t received a phone call from us yet, I promise it’s coming. We can’t wait to see you all very soon 😁

Hello everyone, as you all know our region has officially started Phase 1 reopening. Which means, as long as numbers continue to go down Phase 2 will begin around June 3rd and that includes hair salons being allowed to reopen. All of us at Lotus miss our clients terribly and are confident that with the extensive safety precautions we will be implementing, that we will be able to transition smoothly. Unfortunately we can not say when the exact date of opening will be because we have yet to receive our full mandates from the state, and that is what sets the precedent of which we return. We are asking all of our clients to please be patient with us at this time, as we are putting together our new schedules and current restrictions will limit the number of clients we are allowed to see daily. We will however be starting with those who’s original appointments were scheduled for the week of 3/23/2020. As soon as we get all the information to reopen we will be in contact with you all. Until then, please continue to stay healthy & safe ❤️

In accordance with Governor Cuomo’s mandate, all hair salons will be closing on Saturday March 21st by 8pm. It is an uneasy time in our country but this is what has to be done in order to protect so many. We hope all of our clients and their families stay healthy & safe and will update you as soon as we are able to get back to doing what we love.

All of us at Lotus Hair Design are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our customers and their families during this difficult time.
