At 56, I’m not looking for makeup that just looks pretty when I first apply it. I want to know how it behaves on aging skin.

I tested the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder in Pink Velvet Cookie together with the Natasha Denona HY-Blush, and this combination really caught my attention.

The powder gives that brightened, softly set look, while the HY-Blush is designed to help maintain hydration so the cheeks don’t look dry or flat. And for mature skin, that matters because anything that starts emphasizing texture or dryness is going to lose me fast.

This is exactly why I love testing new makeup at 56: not just does it look beautiful? but does it still flatter real, aging skin?

What happens when you mix your blush into the rest of your complexion instead of wearing it on its own?

For Anti-Blush Part 2, I tried two combinations on my 50+ skin:

Foundation + blush + bronzer → a warmer, sun-kissed shade
Foundation + blush + contour → a cooler, more sculpted shade

Same blush. Two completely different moods. And I wasn’t expecting the difference to be this noticeable. 🤎

Could this be the best skin tint I’ve tried on mature skin? 👀

You know I don’t say that lightly… but the Forever N**e really surprised me. It gives that fresh, polished, skin-like finish without feeling heavy, and on mature skin, that makes a big difference.
