This guest has been wearing extensions for one full year. Move ups every six weeks

At this visit we noticed her overall normal shed rate had increased due to managing higher stress levels in her life.

THIS is the most important part | Because of the advanced training I have beyond my certification I was able to recognize we needed to shift her timing in-between maintenance reservations and explain to her why it was important to shift her plan, due to her increased shed rate.

I chose to move her future maintenance reservation from six to five weeks, at which we will reassess, in order to maintain the integrity of her natural hair and scalp.

This is just one example of a custom plan.

Each and every client receives custom plans, goals and education specific to their needs.

All the hair and all the length isn’t for everyone and it is very possible to have extensions without feeling this way❤️

In order to achieve this for her we installed two rows with four wefts on each row. This allowed us to keep it natural looking yet give her a decent amount of length and density.

Can I separate my color and extension maintenance reservations?

Yes! This is what it can look like to have one row installed while getting a color refresh.

The only time this doesn’t work for me and I prefer coloring your wefts while off the head is during a color transformation, more than just a refresh, such as needing to refresh a deep root or dropping the root more than two inches on your wefts and low-lighting heavily on your extensions, especially if we are needing to add multiple colors for dimension.

Client… “How do you choose how many weeks I can go before needing a maintenance reservation on my row?”

For my clients, the amount of time is custom for each of them.

Masters Education courses taught me how to asses the grow out on your row, which helps me determine what is the healthiest amount of time for YOUR hair and scalp.

What I assess in a grow out is the same for all clients, but my findings are all very different.

This is why my answers to this question for each of you differ! And it should!

I have clients that go anywhere between 4 weeks to 10 weeks and let me tell you my 4 week client should never ever go 10 weeks, because her natural hair and scalp is our top priority!

Your reservations are custom. Your install. Your color. Your consults. Your grow out evaluation…all of it. And that’s what you deserve!
