When I offer energy work, I ask what your *intention* is for the session, or what you feel you need to receive. 💞

“What does that mean?”
“Um. No one’s ever asked me that.”
“What are the options?”

It’s okay to pause and reflect a moment. We live in such a heady, busy world we are often unaware and detached from our internal needs.🔍

Or maybe you do know what you need and have no clue how to get there. That’s okay too.

Release the expectation, the shoulds, the perfectionism, the tension in your jaw.

Give yourself the space to unplug, and drop into your body. Slow the mind down and be open to the answers in the quiet stillness found during energy work, meditation or journaling. 😌

You might not find your answer immediately, but trust that you are one step closer just by setting your intention and taking the time to connect to yourself.

📝You can set an intention at any time. Write it down. Get clear. You might be surprised the next time you stumble upon it. “Oh hey, it’s happening.”

Why hourly pricing?

When I became a hairdresser I was told the only way to charge was a la carte by service, by double-booking clients, and then upselling glosses, treatments or brow add-ons.

And while I got into this industry for the art, I've stayed in this business for 17 years because of the connections you build with clients. 

I realized I could either be a mechanic and trim an inch off the ends, or do what I really loved…which is creating the full picture for someone, from the haircut to the color, to the brows. 

I want my clients to have their best hair possible, and often that means more time and multiple products to create the ultimate masterpiece. Because shortcuts don’t last as long or look as beautiful.

Over time, those close bonds with clients got me interested in energy work and I realized I could help my clients even more. 

There was no way to truly provide the best for clients unless I was giving a one on one experience for them.

For many, the salon experience might be the only time you have to drop in and let yourself be taken care of.

(and it’s hard to relax when you’re worrying that your toner is on too long when the stylist is with another client already…)

Hourly pricing allows for everything to be included - so whatever you need, you get - without feeling nickel and dimed at checkout. The flat rate helps to cover premium salon product, supplies and overhead costs.

Sales tax and gratuity are included, for transparency and simplicity.

Adding value to everyone’s experience is super important to me and that's why energy work is also included!

But really, I’m here to talk about the question you’ve all been asking.

❔…what happens during energy work?

First we chat about what you need to receive. What does that mean?

Maybe you’re feeling agitated from something that happened earlier in the day. Maybe you’re feeling a little sad or stressed. Maybe you’re experiencing pain.

Maybe you’re not sure. That’s okay too.

🤍I choose a technique or a soothing combo to help you receive the kind of healing you seek.

I might ask follow up questions to hone in on what will serve you best, such as aromatherapy preferences or a towel to block the light from your eyes. 😎

I’ll guide you to take a few deeep cleansing breaths. 🧘🏽

I might touch your shoulders, but I work mostly off the body.

I’ll complete the session in 5-10 minutes and guide you back to the present moment.

It can be a spacey time, similar to how you might feel coming off the massage table. It’s normal to feel like you’re moving through water after. Take your time getting up (and removing the towel from your eyes).

✨You’ll likely notice you feel much more relaxed, a little lighter perhaps. A sense of empowerment or peace. Or more present and aware of your mind/body connection.

Everyone has a unique experience, and not every experience is the same. 🌸

What this type of energy work does is allows you to tap into your OWN self-healing.
