This beautiful weekend, we had the honor of celebrating one of our own as Abi said "I do."

Our hearts are filled with so much joy, love, and happiness as we watched her begin this new chapter. Abi brings so much light, kindness, and laughter to our salon family, and seeing her surrounded by love was truly special.

Congratulations to rising Kennedy junior, Jordyn Velitchkov, for winning the World Leadership Congress Scholarship this past weekend at the HOBY Youth Leadership Conference at Drake University!! She’s headed to the National Conference in Washington, DC in July.

Each year HOBY offers schools the opportunity to nominate one sophomore student to attend the Iowa HOBY Leadership Conference in July.

My HOBY experience led to great opportunity. Jordyn is making/will make us proud!

Downtown Cedar Rapids Traffic Alert 🚨

🚗 Commuters should plan for a temporary closure of 8th Avenue SE at the 4th Street SE railroad crossing from June 9 through June 11, 2026, as infrastructure improvements are underway.

The City of Cedar Rapids will be replacing the asphalt surface at the crossing. This work requires a full closure during construction, so drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes when traveling into and through Downtown.

Crews will work efficiently to minimize disruptions.
