You guys, thank you soooooo very much for referring this little lady to me. I love a big change and this was so perfect for her skin tone too! I die for these color transformations!

Also we had a great conversation. I always šŸ™ that I lift your spirits when you are in my chair as some of you lift mine.

Life gets busy and we forget to post… but this couldn’t be over looked. 🤌

My Lex is old enough now that I can get back into the wedding hair game. My availability will still be somewhat limited by Lex’s schedule. My last year of being a full time Mom!!! 😢 However she is busy with her life now too!

A new client brings new challenges! This one was so fun. She was having a hard time finding someone to blend her sparkles the right way. As you can see in the before she was left with a brassy dingy look. Now we are buttery blonde and will work towards an even whiter and brighter look.

Y’all she cried she was so happy, and I got a hug. This is why o do what I do. We have the ability to make people feel confident and enjoy looking in the mirror again. I love it so much! šŸ˜

Haven’t seen her since June 2025… but we still make it seamless with an easy grow out.

Why Hair Is Most Fragile When It’s Wet

Every time your hair gets wet, its internal structure temporarily weakens. Water breaks the hydrogen bonds inside the hair fiber, bonds responsible for nearly one-third of the hair’s strength.

At the same time, the hair shaft swells by about 15% as it absorbs water. This expansion lifts the cuticle layers instead of allowing them to lie flat like protective armor.

When the cuticle lifts, the strands begin to catch and rub against each other, which is why hair tangles so easily after washing.

For roughly 30 minutes after washing, hair is at its most vulnerable stage. Yet this is exactly when many people:

• Rub their hair aggressively with a towel
• Brush or comb roughly
• Apply heat with styling tools

All of this creates friction and stress on hair that is already weakened.

How to protect wet hair:

• Use a microfiber towel instead of rough terry cloth
• Detangle gently from the ends upward using a wide-tooth comb
• Allow hair to air-dry or fully dry before using heat tools

Think of wet hair like a fiber that has temporarily lost a significant portion of its strength. The way you treat it during this stage makes a huge difference in preventing breakage and preserving healthy hair.

She was ready to say goodbye to the high-maintenance bright blonde. When she showed me her inspiration photo, I was a little surprised… but honestly excited for the challenge.

We shifted her into a softer, dimensional brunette that still keeps brightness and movement—low maintenance but still beautiful.

I’d say we nailed it.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl! I hope you have the best night celebrating. šŸŽ‰āœØ
