Today it's the week before Thanksgiving and raining like crazy here in West Michigan, but we've had our first measurable snow, which is always sure to get me in the holiday spirit. How about you?

I'm now almost 5 weeks out from my second spine surgery within ten weeks and am slowly getting back into my business. While I've not been able to make more soap since last winter due to the heavy weight involved in doing so, I do have a good assortment of my different fragrances in stock... Though maybe not a LOT of ALL of them. Cold process soaps generally get better as they age, so fear not!

I will also have a variety of foot creams, natural deodorant, lip balms, body butter bars (great for those with dry hands like me!) And more. Take a look through my old posts here on my Lavish Handcrafted FB page for reminders of what I carry.

Anything but the cold process soaps can be made within just a few days if I don't have them in stock, and the raw materials and needed equipment aren't as heavy as for the soaps, so are within my current ten pound weight limits.

Don't wait too long to order, though, since shipping snags are predicted again this year.

For those who want a natural deodorant (which also means no aluminum!), I make an excellent one that is baking soda free. Baking soda, while it helps with odor and is used in many natural deodorants, is irritating to many peoples' underarms, so that's why I DON'T use it in my formulation. The only "complaint" I've had is it can leave a slight white residue.

I usually have coconut, unscented, and lavender fragrances available in stock, but also am open to other fragrances if you decide you want to purchase three or more tubes at a time, or if your suggestion sounds like it could be a popular one!

Fall is on the way and I'm recovered enough from my neck surgery to fulfill orders of product I have in stock, and am capable of making some that I'm out of.

At this point I'm probably going to have a second surgery (lower back) in October so this is the lull before another hiccup in my year.

I will be taking off the month of August because of some "urgent" neck surgery. I should be able to fulfill any orders placed here by next Sunday, August 1. If I'm functional enough to work on orders before the end of August, I'll let you all know here on Facebook.

As promised, here are some Father's Day favorite cold process soaps. These are all fresh batches made this spring and just now finishing their 6-8 week cures.

This gorgeous blue soap is in a top selling favorite: "Shave and a Haircut". If you're old enough to remember an old fashioned barbershop, this is that scent. I've got more than one customer who keeps coming back over and over (and over) to order just this one fragrance, two bars at a time.

I'm sending out a reminder here that in just two weeks it's Father's Day! That's plenty of time to place and receive your order for some of my soaps or other body products, either to give out to the father or father figures in your life, or to keep for yourself.

I've got a freshly cured batch of my "Garden to Kitchen" soap with organic coffee grounds and fine pumice to give you an extra scrubbiness. I love using it when coming in from the barn or working in the garden. It's also great as a "mechanics soap", to get the garage grime off your palms.

It's scented with Orange 10x essential oil to give your hands an extra fresh scent, whether you have "eau de onions" or freshly caught fish lingering on your person.
