🔬 LIGHT CO2 vs. ADVANCED CO2: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

I get asked this a lot: “Jennifer, which CO2 treatment do I need?”

And my answer is always the same: It depends on your skin, your goals—and how much downtime you’re comfortable with. 💙

Both treatments use CO2 technology to resurface and rejuvenate the skin, but they are not the same level of treatment.

✨ LIGHT CO2
Think of this as the gentler approach. I may recommend a lighter treatment when we’re looking to improve concerns like overall texture, tone, fine lines or mild sun damage—with a less intensive treatment and typically less downtime.
🔥 ADVANCED CO2
This is where we step things up. Advanced CO2 is a more intensive resurfacing treatment that may be appropriate when we're addressing more significant signs of aging, deeper lines, texture irregularities, sun damage or acne scarring. Because we're treating more aggressively, you should also expect more downtime and a more involved recovery.

But here's the important part:
More aggressive does NOT automatically mean better.
My goal isn't to give everyone the strongest treatment possible. It's to choose the appropriate treatment intensity for YOUR skin and the results we're trying to achieve.
Your skin type, concerns, previous treatments, lifestyle, tolerance for downtime and goals all factor into that decision.
That’s why I always recommend we start with a conversation. We'll look at your skin together and decide whether **Light CO2, Advanced CO2—or another treatment entirely—**makes the most sense for you.
