FOCUS ON WHAT WILL TRULY PROFIT YOU

Treasures of wickedness and ill-gotten gains do not profit, But righteousness and moral integrity in daily life rescues from death.
PROVERBS 10:2

Sometimes we are very possessive or protective of things that tread on the lines of wickedness. We sometimes entertain ourselves with evil. We listen to music, watch movies, read books, and watch TV that glorifies wickedness. Those things will not profit us. We will not gain from them. On the other hand, righteousness will deliver us from death. Think about what in your life is wicked and what is righteous. Focus on the things that you will profit from.

PRAYER:

LORD, You love the righteous and You despise wickedness. Thank You for being a righteous God, and not a God who loves war, murder, and death. You are truly good, and only You can truly satisfy our hearts. Make me righteous like You are righteous. Help me to love righteousness and hate wickedness like You do. In Jesus' name. Amen.

This is sort of a rerun Michael got his last haircut in November (22) and I did one then as well. But when you have this big of transformation, you always HAVE to do a before and after picture, you’ve JUST got to LOL

I always like these transformations via a new haircut. Michael (Murphy) has been a client of mine, since he was in grade school. In my opinion, he’s always been a very nice young man. At any rate I have not been seeing him a lot lately because of him letting his hair grow. he messaged me recently and said he wanted to get his haircut so today was the day and here are the results.

STANDING FOR YOU IN FAITH

He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”
DANIEL 3:25

The "Three Hebrew Children" who refused to bow the knees to the idol of gold and worship it, were cast for their defiance into a fiery furnace that burned with incredible intensity. The man who threw them in died of heat because he came too close to the flames. But these men of faith were unhurt by the fire, and the preincarnate Christ walked with them in the midst of the furnace.

PRAYER:

Lord, you will be with us when we take a stand for You in faith. When we defy the world's standards and refuse to fit in with the surrounding culture, we may pay a price. But we, like Daniel's three friends, must resolve not to bow to idols even if You do not rescue us from consequent suffering or even death. But we know that You can always deliver us and trust You will work all things together for our good. Amen.

The 2022-2023 Bobcat Cards are now available at the salon. Save a little money with our local merchants and do a lot of good for Special Olympics.

After cleaning the salon (Sunday evening) I decided to put up the outside Christmas lights. This job requires a ladder and I’m pretty sure I heard Darlene saying “you better not fall off that ladder”
Note: My one and ONLY selfie of the year.

The “Nuts” are back at the salon.

While at the salon today doing a few things I noticed this little guy out on the deck. I had just put the flower boxes out (no flowers in them yet), but it didn’t take this little guy long to start burying walnuts in the planter.
