Yesterday, we went on a boat ride around the islands of Lake Titicaca. They have islands made completely of reeds that float! Indigenous people actually live on them. We rode on a reed boat to the next island made of land. 😉 Greeted with a dance, we were invited and so We danced with them! A hike, lunch, more hiking around the island. Another boat ride back to the mainland and our hotel. Dinner and drinks with new friends in our travel group. Tons of laughter followed by a better night sleep with full bellies and even fuller spirits. 🥰 Soooo here’s some pics!

We went rogue yesterday and found a different tour - to the Rainbow mtns. Did a “little” hiking to 17,000 ft. It goes like, take 20 steps, stop and breathe, take 20 more steps, rinse, recycle and repeat. 😂 But I’m the great words of my cyclist friend from old - G, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! Actually I think he called me chihuahua… nevertheless, I digress. Here’s some pics!

We did it. We made it to Machu Picchu. Pics never do it justice! Storms rolling in and out. Our guide Marco was special. Seeing ancient energy even more so. A long day, but an amazing one! 🙏

Day 1 - Peru, Lima in the books. A city tour, lunch in view of the ocean, art, architecture, and a fabulous traveling companion! All well worth it! Tomorrow a bright and early flight to Cusco…. 😃
