You guys, it honestly took me almost a week to fully get my bearings after coming back from the Train the Trainer education I had the privilege of being invited to attend.

I returned feeling incredibly inspired and filled with a deeper appreciation and knowledge of an already amazing brand. Learning from Gary was truly an unforgettable experience—hands down one of the most impactful educators I’ve ever had the opportunity to learn from.

And meeting Jose in person was something special. The fact that she took time out of her schedule to fly in from Australia meant so much. She is just as genuine, down-to-earth, and passionate as you’d hope—and it only deepened my respect for everything she’s built.

I’m beyond excited and grateful to step into this next chapter of my career as part of the O&M Pro educational team. I can’t wait to grow, give back, and share everything I’ve learned along the way.

Being a hairstylist for 23 years means I’ve seen a lot more than just hair transformations.

Over the years I’ve been trusted with so many moments of people’s lives. I’ve done hair before weddings, after breakups, during pregnancies, and while celebrating new babies. I’ve sat with clients as they shared news of divorce, a loss of a child way to early, shaving heads because of cancer, and so many of life’s unexpected turns. I’ve also had the honor of being the last person to do one of my best friend’s hair before we said our final goodbyes.

This career has given me something I never expected — a front-row seat to people’s lives and hearts. The conversations, the advice from moms who have already walked the path I’m on with teenage daughters, and now even sharing my own experiences with others… it’s a bond that goes far beyond the chair.

It’s emotional, meaningful, and something I will never take for granted.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, Japanese energy healing practice that invites deep relaxation, balance, and inner peace. The word Reiki translates to “universal life energy,” the natural energy believed to flow through all living things. This practice was founded in Japan in the early 1900s by Mikao Usui and is now shared worldwide as a supportive, noninvasive form of energetic care.

During a Reiki session, you rest comfortably while light, intentional touch (or hands just above the body) helps calm the nervous system and encourage energetic flow. Many people experience warmth, emotional release, clarity, or a profound sense of stillness.

At Salon Leal, Reiki is offered as part of our holistic approach to beauty and well-being, nurturing not just how you look, but the more important fact of how you feel and move through the world.
