At the start of my career I wanted to finish my BA in history I started at downtown Supercuts as just a basic stylist to have a steady income it wasn't glamorous but my 2 yrs there were invaluable. Within a year I became the assistant manager and top earning stylist at my salon and ranked top 3 in all of utah for service dollars and product sales and top 275 out of 1000s across all regis corp chain salons. I did lots of box color corrections, funky styles, perfected old style barbering techniques watched tons of continued education videos online and was able to practice and perfect new techniques on the limitless walk in clients. By the time I quit I was the most requested and trusted stylist and was sad to leave my clients. I took an opportunity to manage a high end salon out in holiday called Nielsen Sio where I mentored new talent teaching ] the basic techniques of barbering, cutting, blow drying and client retention. I was able to work and learn under legendary SLC stylist Jarl Nielsen who's 25 years of experience was invaluable sadly Jarl decided to close his salon early 2015 for opportunities in miami. The exciting new is i'm here at Roxy CarMichael ready to continue on this amazing journey of learning and self discovery im excited to make my old clients feel at home and welcome new ones im hard worker with an eye for detail, no curve ball is too much. I'm well rounded, good conversation and good listener and have a knack for good consultation so you get what you want every time. My biggest inspirations are Sam villa Redken artistic director and hair cutting guru extraordinaire I have learned tons from his online videos and Guy Tang joico platform artist and hair color guru.
