Well, that’s a wrap. This place has been my second home for 14 years. To say closing this chapter is bittersweet is an understatement. I have been so blessed with this location, I can only pray someone else will be too. So many precious memories were made and so many beautiful friendships were created here. The studs of these walls are covered in scripture and this entire space has been covered in prayer more times than I can count. I will miss Bellissimo and everything it was, but I can’t wait to make new memories at Judy’s Heavenly Hair. For those that don’t know, Judy’s was the very first salon I ever worked at. So, I feel as if I am headed back to my original salon home. I know the Lord has paved the way and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for this next chapter of my life.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This is a hard post to make but it must be done. After much prayer and consideration, I made the decision earlier this year to close my salon. I started praying over this decision as I saw many changes coming about within the walls of my second home. God had blessed me abundantly with an amazing group of ladies to work with. I told them over the last couple of years that when they decided to move on then I would know it was my time to do the same. I knew they would be too hard to replace. Almost impossible.
When I set out 14 years ago to open my salon, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. Heck, some days I still don’t. I just knew that I wanted to create an environment where everyone felt welcome, a place that felt like home. I wanted to help other stylists build their clientele and wanted to help them excel in the industry I love so much. Oh, how I failed so many times, but I learned from each lesson and tried to do better. I have been blessed to work alongside some of the most amazingly talented stylists. I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people and for that, I am forever grateful. Every stylist that has ever held a position in my salon was a blessing to me. I know that I didn’t always know how to handle some situations, and I made a lot of mistakes But I hope each one of them knows how much I loved them and only wanted them to grow.
As I prayed over this decision, the Lord made it abundantly clear to me that it was time to move on to the next season of my life. He has worked out every detail so amazingly that I can’t deny that I am doing the right thing. It is very bittersweet, but after 14 years of being an owner, I am ready to let someone else take the reigns.
Thank you to every person that has ever played a role in making Bellissimo Hair Salon the success that it has been. God has now blessed me with a new salon home, Judy’s Heavenly Hair. Jessica, Ashley, Mrs. Debbie and I will start this new season in our careers there on December 1st. We will continue to use the same scheduling system we currently use for the time being. We look forward to joining their amazing group and taking care of each of our clients there.

If you have a sweet memory and/or picture from Bellissimo, please share it with us. I would love to see and hear them. This picture is of my sweet babies who have been raised in the salon. They were my first little heads to shampoo in my very own place.

We are so excited so be able to open tomorrow we can barely contain our excitement. We know that there are many who may not be ready to get out and that is ok. We want to assure everyone that we will be taking every measure to make sure our area is beyond sanitized, as well as set up in a manner that makes everyone feel comfortable. We just have a few new rules and a few favors to ask of you so we can safely take care of you.
Once you enter the salon there will be hand sanitizer available for your use. We ask that you choose this option as opposed to wearing gloves. Gloves increase the spread of germs when used improperly. We have multiple options to keep your hands clean while in the salon.
If you are, or have been sick recently, we kindly ask you to please reschedule your appointment.
Due to the governor's mandate on the amount of people in our working space we ask that you come to your appointment alone. You may also be asked to wait in your car while processing or before entry for you appointment.
You may be asked to sign a release form upon entering the salon. I apologize for this but it is mandated by the governor. I promise to keep it simple.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this time. I know that everyone has differing opinions on how things should be done and we will be respectful of that. We just ask that you bear with us during this, and pray that it won't last long. We can't wait to see you .

Praise God, we can open on the 16th! We are working on our lists as we speak. Thank you for your patience, we can’t wait to see you! Stay tuned to see some of the new procedures that will take place when we open.

I wish this was an update stating that we could open soon but unfortunately, it isn’t. We do have a tentative opening date for May 16th. New protocols will limit the number of people allowed in the salon at one time. We will post those details once they are released to us. Our State Board will be releasing a list for us to follow by the end of this week. As soon as we know more, we will definitely let everyone know. We miss you all so very much and can’t wait to take care of you. On May 11th, the governor will tell us if we can open on the 16th for sure and the minute we get the ok, we will be calling each of you to get your appointments scheduled. Thank you all so very much for your patience and prayers. You are all so greatly appreciated.

We want to take a moment to update all of you about the latest information we have received about a possible opening date. Unfortunately, we have no idea when we will be able to open. As of right now, our industry is not included in any of the reopening phases. Our Board of Cosmetology is working on guidelines to help get us placed in a phase so that we might be able to have an opening date. We first have to wait for the virus to stay on the decline for 14 straight days before they can even begin phase one. I believe we are on day 8 and am praying the decline will continue. Until we have a definite opening date we are not scheduling appointments. We miss all of you terribly and cannot wait to get back to the salon to take care of you. We pray you are all healthy and safe and enjoying your time with your loved ones. Rest assured, the minute we are given a date to open we will let you know. We will also have a lot of changes in the way things will be run. We take everyone's health and safety very seriously and will take every precaution to make sure our environments clean and safe. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We are so grateful for each of you. Please reach out to us personally if you have any questions. We want to hear from you❤️.
