Remember when life felt a little slower?

When your biggest decision was which cassette to play next, riding bikes until the streetlights came on, and somehow everything worked out by morning?

Growing up changes that.

The calendars fill up. The responsibilities pile on. We get really good at taking care of everyone else… and somehow forget to save a little of that care for ourselves.

That’s the story behind our “Peace & Self Love Collection,” officially launching during our 4th Birthday Celebration on July 24th. The collection comes to our spa with a candle, moon water spray, body butter and body scrub!

More than a new collection, this is our love letter to you.

To every client who trusted us with your aches and pains, your stress, your celebrations, your healing, and your journey over the past four years… thank you. You helped build Twisted Shamrock Studios & Spa into the community we dreamed it could become, and this collection was created to honor that.

Our dear friend Pagan Poetry lovingly handcrafted every piece with intention, creating more than beautiful body care and a candle. Together, we wanted to create a gentle reminder that you deserve the same kindness and care you so freely give everyone else.

Rosemary encourages fresh beginnings when life feels overwhelming.

Sage helps clear away yesterday so you can make room for today.

Chamomile and calendula offer comfort when your mind won’t slow down.

Sweet to***co vanilla wraps around you like your favorite old hoodie and the song that always makes everything feel okay again.

Each piece is lovingly herbal and stone dressed with citrine for joy, amethyst for calm, and green aventurine for hope and new opportunities, creating a simple ritual that invites you to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

Because wellness isn’t about doing more.

Sometimes it’s about giving yourself permission to slow down long enough to remember who you are.

And if your bathroom starts feeling a little like 1974… complete with good vibes, great music, and a whole lot less stress… we’d call that a pretty groovy bonus.

Our friend Pagan Poetry will be joining us during our 4th Birthday Celebration on Friday, July 24, offering personalized 7-Card Oracle Readings from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM for just $30.

Originally planned as walk-ins, but thanks to the incredible response, we're now booking appointment times to help as many people as possible enjoy a reading without spending the afternoon waiting in line.

Leg Day. Or as CK Fitness likes to call it… a reality check with extra squats.

Today’s workout started with me getting smacked in the face with a little reality. Not by the barbell… thankfully… but by the realization that some of the goals I’ve been chasing need to change.

And honestly?

That’s okay.

One thing I’m learning is that growth isn’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about giving yourself enough grace and honesty to pause, reassess, and choose a different path.

Weightlifting has always been my happy place. There is something about walking into the gym, putting my hands on the bar, and knowing it doesn’t care who you are, what kind of day you’ve had, or what’s been weighing on your mind. It simply asks you to show up and do the work that’s in front of you.

Today reminded me that I’m also trying to break another old habit.

I’ve spent a lifetime going all in… usually way too fast. Bigger goals. More weight. More work. Less patience.

This season feels different.

I’m learning that strength isn’t just adding more plates to the bar. Sometimes strength is slowing down enough to build the foundation the right way. Progress isn’t lost because it takes longer than I wanted. In fact, it’s probably more likely to last.

So today I adjusted my fitness goals, gave myself permission to process what I needed to process, and kept moving forward.

One rep at a time.

A huge thank you to CK Fitness for creating a space where it’s safe to be honest with myself. Thank you for reminding me that this journey isn’t about proving anything. It’s about becoming stronger, healthier, and more patient… both inside and outside the gym.

Now… if anyone needs me tomorrow, I’ll be attempting to sit down like a normal human being. Odds are good it won’t be graceful.

But it’ll be worth it. 💪

Meet Witching Hour Confections

There are some people you meet who instantly feel like they belong in your story.

That was exactly how we felt when we met the incredible team behind Witching Hour Confections through our friends at The 9 Collective.

From the very first bite, we knew this wasn’t just another bakery.

Their creations are thoughtful, beautiful, handcrafted, and full of personality. Every recipe is made with seasonal ingredients, unexpected flavor combinations, and just the right touch of creativity. You can truly taste the love that goes into everything they make.

One of the sweetest surprises we’ve received this year was the beautiful honey cake they gifted us for Summer Solstice. We shared it with our team and clients, and let’s just say… it disappeared much faster than we expected. It was one of those treats everyone kept talking about long after the last slice was gone.

As we got to know them better, we learned something that makes us love supporting them even more. Witching Hour Confections is an LGBTQ+ owned small business that believes everyone deserves something delicious to enjoy. They thoughtfully create incredible baked goods with options for a variety of dietary needs, including gluten free, vegan, sugar free, and more, so more people can gather around the table together.

They’re creating a special collection of handcrafted treats inspired by both our birthday and the debut of our new “Peace & Self Love Collection”. Knowing their creativity, we have a feeling these treats are going to be every bit as beautiful as they are delicious.

The photos give you just a little glimpse of what they do. From delicate raspberry-filled cookies and colorful tea pairings to cinnamon sugar creations, hearty oatmeal cookies, and their signature honey cake, every piece feels like edible art.

This is the beginning of a wonderful friendship / small business partnership, and we couldn’t be happier to introduce another talented local small business to our clients, family, friends & team!

Four years.

Looking at these two photos side by side is a pretty incredible reminder of just how far we’ve come.

The first picture was the beginning. A vision. A lot of empty space. A mountain of ideas. More hope than money. Plenty of late nights. Countless trips to the hardware store. A few moments of “What on earth did we get ourselves into?” and more than a little faith that somehow it would all come together.

The second picture?

That’s because of you.

Every massage, facial, stretch session, wax, Reiki appointment, lymphatic drainage session, every retail purchase, every referral, every kind review, every vote, every hug, every laugh, every time you chose to support a small, woman veteran-owned business… you helped build what you’re looking at today.

As we head into our 4th Birthday, grateful doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.

Running a small business is a little like trying to beat the final level of an old-school Nintendo game. Just when you think you’ve figured it out… another boss battle appears. But somehow, together, we keep hitting “Continue.”

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of celebration, moments of uncertainty, moments of growth, and moments where we simply had to trust the process and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

And we did.

What started as four empty walls has become a place where people come to heal, laugh, relax, celebrate milestones, recover from injuries, find a little peace, and sometimes just take a much-needed break from the chaos of life.

That has always been the dream.

So as July 24 gets closer, we’re taking a moment to pause, look around, and say thank you.

Thank you for believing in us before there was much to see.

Thank you for sticking with us through every new adventure.

Thank you for making Twisted Shamrock Studios & Spa feel like home.

Now… who’s ready to celebrate turning FOUR?

Soooo… we were gifted something today.

And let’s just say… we’re slightly excited.

We need to do a little cleaning, a little rearranging, and maybe a few rounds of “Wait… what if we move it over here?” we’ve found the perfect spot.

Now comes the hard part.

Keeping the secret.
