The Philly wedding industry is BLOWING UP and I’m so pumped to be part of it! Yesterday I sat on the Planner’s Panel at the WIPA Philadelphia Mastermind event and had a blast as usual. Give me a mic any day please!

We love mixing table shapes in your reception space. Unless we’re maxing it out numbers-wise, throwing some rectangular tables in the mix helps bring some visual interest to your room. AND we get to play with different centerpiece styles. Not everything has to look uniform!

There’s only one thing between me and a cozy couch to veg on for a week and it’s wedding 55/55 of this year! We will be celebrating with Mariah and Greg on NYE and FINALLY ending this marathon year. 🎉

It’s been long. It’s been rough. But it’s allowed us to work with SO many amazing couples and produce so many beautiful events. And as the wise says, if you made it through this, you can make it through anything! We knew we were good but now we know nothing (NOTHING!) can phase us! Cue the Rocky music 🎵 🥊

Trying to embrace Christmas week over here while still plugging away at our upcoming weddings (a break? What’s that?)

Between crafting each night for our Elf and placing Target drive up orders every few hours, making sure we have matching pj’s and ordering Christmas dinner, cleaning the house for company (vaxxed and tested of course) and driving in big around to see the lights, there are a million little things to be done this week. Stressful, yes but such is life as the woman/mom/business owner. The end result is worth it.

Fiiiiinally getting around to sharing some 2021 weddings!! I mean, we haven’t been busy or anything. But our girl Holly got married to Andrew last year then rescheduled the reception a few times and we finally got to see them get married at the with and a whole slew of talented vendors:

There’s a seat for everyone at the table is my summation of my week in the Bahamas at . From finally getting to meet vendors I’ve followed for years (hey !!) to connecting with some big names in the industry and meeting new peeps from around the country, it’s been an exhilarating and exhausting week!

I also went to for a little R&R after the year we’ve had. Of course, we had a million beautiful weddings but we also dealt with grumpiness, entitlement and ungracious people. I don’t know about you, but we’re doing the best we can in the circumstances we’re in. Our industry is stressful on a normal day, add a pandemic that limits our actual bread and butter (live events 🍞🧈) and yeah, it gets a tad bit worse. So I rested a bit between sessions and parties. I relaxed twice in the blue Caribbean water.

Am I recovered? Of course not. But things have slowed down and I have returned excited to create the beautiful experiences I was just treated to, for my own clients.

Taking a quick break from the Christmas season / winter wedding season to hop down to the Bahamas tomorrow for my first ever - Engage has been a business goal for a loooong time and I’m excited to finally see it to fruition!

I’ll be sharing all of the creative details, probably a few cocktails and all of the island goodness along the way. ☀️🌊🍹

And then it’s right back to the Christmas spirit. ✨
