Today feels final, but I think (and hope) it’s just a reset. When I started Planet Sprinkles 6 years ago it was because I wanted to make something with my hands. Something that got me away from my computer screen.

What shocked me (hello imposter syndrome my friend) is that people wanted to buy my products, told me it was better than other stuff they used on the market, etc. I started seeing how my products were changing for the better and people liked it. I applied to be a part of the Mercantile and couldn’t believe they not only accepted me but they raved about how great and unique the brand was. Everyone there knew the brand because of how colorful it was and unique it was. They closed and I was led to find another place which landed me at the Prussian Street Arcade which felt so much like the Mercantile.

Today I packed up the last items from the which is the last public facing thing that was left of Planet Sprinkles.

I’ve learned so much over the years. There is so much looking back that I would change and do differently. I haven’t made any products since May and haven’t unpacked anything from my move from the studio back home.

I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I know this isn’t the end. 💙💜🩵💚

Planet Sprinkles is going on an indefinite hiatus.

It pains me deeply to write and post this but it’s time…

Planet Sprinkles started as an outlet for my creativity - something that was not digital or online. I launched the online store in 2020 and have kept going to the best of my ability since.

As the business has grown so has our other business - my full time job at TooMamyGames. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy - let alone doing it for two businesses.

There have been times that I’ve wanted to quit because I thought it was too hard but now the time has come for a pause, I’m not quitting.

I’ve spent the last few months analyzing the data for the past year and years prior. The studio space is killing me financially and I’m letting go of it and the lease. Along with that I’m pausing all orders including subscription boxes.

If you have an outstanding order or subscription box - you will be refunded in full. All recurring subscription boxes will be cancelled. Give me a few days to handle all of this please.

If you want to support the brand I still am in the Prussian Street Arcade and will continue to stock what I can in their locations. I don’t know what I’ll have or how much there will be. But I need to take this constant pressure off of myself.

Thanks for being on this journey with me. I hope in a few months I’ll be back.
