C's Extra Long Brunette Fall 05/13/2016

This wig is from the previously mentioned wig extremist - "C" will be her title for her future restorations, and trust me - there are some good ones coming! *love* This one in particular didn't start off too bad, but she was crunchy enough to not longer flow and toss correctly for that length.

Once again, and wash and deep condition prepped an iron wrap. I chose my largest iron for this length since I didn't want it to get too tangly again too quickly.

L's Easter Extravaganza 05/13/2016

This hair gave me Easter Egg realness, which is a funny choice for a girl that hates rabbits. Regbardless, this hair was fun to play with.

A wash and deep condition prepped this hair for a roller set, and though I'm sure it's Japanese Kanekalon fiber which is very heat tolerant, it took to my low heat roller sets very well. She took some fun bounce, which really brought out the lavender-to-blue tip frosting.

L's Beach Blonde Mix 05/13/2016

A friend of mine is particularly rough on her wigs, tho not as bad as some extremists I know. But she tends to wear the bottommost layer of her wigs to grits, so she keeps me in business ;P

This one was interesting because it features a taper in the front layering that allows the back sections to be longer. So after a wash and deep condition then pressing the hair down to smooth out the crunch factor in the bottom layer and ends, an iron wrap was used to achieve a cohesive curl/wave pattern throughout all the layers, front and back. This wave was once again achieved with my second largest iron, which is apparently my go-to.

This service would be available for $15

Sold!!! $150!! 05/13/2016

This wig was made specifically to sell!! She sold for $150!

This wig is 2 identical beach butter blonde wigs, one hand-stitched into the other, with half of a matching brown wig added for dimension and low lighting. The overall color concept was inspired by 'Romy' from "Romy and Michelle's HS Reunion".

After construction was finished, the whole wig was heat conditioned in hot water with a conditioning blend to soften the hair and to aide in styling. Once air-dried, she then went thru three roller sets (after a full roller set was placed, i would take one roller down and replace it with a fresh hot one - followed that pattern twice completely throughout every layer).

She's the perfect blend of bounce and envy.

Emerald 05/13/2016

Emerald was purchased online, but when she arrived, I was surprised to find that the hair was a yaki texture - a texture Im not used to wearing. I tried it for a second or two, but couldn't get into the feel of the hair. So I decided to play with it.

I found that the hair took to heat treatments very well, and stood up to very high temperatures. After trying to press it down, I realized that this style was best left wavy. I rewrapped it with my second largest curling iron, and fell in love with the result.

Emerald was then purchased from me for $45. Im currently looking for a longer version of this color and style.

Quinn 05/13/2016

I had owned Quinn for a very long time, like something like 10 years, so she definitely lasted longer than many other wigs I've known; mine and others. The level of care I give to my wigs is apparent with the lifespan of Quinn.

However, times and seasons change, so it was time to let her spread her wings and sell her to a new owner. The buyer wanted to see what she would look like with some swirl, so I told her I'd roll her up.

She took 46 standard hot rollers!! But swirl she served! She was sold for $60, including the roller set charge.

Multi-tonal Madness, fresh crimp 04/17/2016

This wig startled me when I first saw it. Another of Kenneth's creations, he wanted it tamed down a bit.

I was able to get it brushed out before a wash, then used a new experiemental purchase, the crimper, on the hugely thick wig.

Pink and Blonde Masterpiece, loose curl service, plus extensions 04/17/2016

I can't take full credit for this wig. The first few images are of the wig when I got it. It's one pink and one blonde wig that both tip out to blonde at the ends, put together by fellow hair enthusiast and drag performer Kenneth, aka Kelasia. He wanted me to roll it up a bit to give it something extra and to help show more of the pink throughout.

While wrapping it, I felt it did need more, so I grabbed another dusty rose pink wig I already owned, and cut out a couple sections and placed them into the back of the wig for more color reaction.

Extra Long Brown Wig, tight curl service 04/17/2016

The first 4 pics of this one are of the wig right after completed construction - this wig is three wigs sewn into one for triple density and maximum layer. The second group of 3 pics show how it looked after a standard end-to-root curling technique freshly completed, while the last 4 images show the same wig after a few wears. This wig was not heat tolerant, but I was able to curl it with a low heat setting and a lot of patience and conditioning spray.

Maroon Wig, tight curl service 04/17/2016

The first 4 shots are of the wig before I did anything to it, aside from a possible brush out. I try to take pictures of wigs I do before doing anything to them, then take a few procedure pics along the way, then get a final product photo or two. The last 2 shots show what I was able to do with this heat tolerant wig.
