Lip blush is usually very tolerable. Numbing cream is applied before and during the appointment, so most clients feel light scratching, tingling, or pressure rather than pain.
The color will look brighter and darker at first, then typically fades about 30–40% as it heals. It may look very light during the peeling stage, but the true color gradually returns within 2–3 weeks and fully settles around 6 weeks. A touch-up may be recommended after 8 weeks for longer-lasting, even results.
