It took me years to understand that I don’t have to be everyone’s lifeboat. 🌊 I can care deeply without constantly rescuing people, fixing their problems, or exhausting myself trying to keep them afloat. Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is become the lighthouse—stand firmly where you are, protect your own peace, and keep your light shining. 🗼✨ The people who need your light can find their way without you losing yourself in the process. 🤍

A fire usually doesn’t go from burning brightly to cold in an instant…🔥

It happens gradually.

A little less attention.
A little less fuel.
A little more time unattended.

⚠️ Until eventually, something that once burned strongly isn’t burning quite like it used to.😬

Paul was specifically talking to Timothy about the gift God had given him, but I think there’s a principle here worth considering in our own lives too.

👉 There was something God had given...

👉 And there was something Timothy was encouraged to intentionally tend.

God was the source of the gift.

Timothy wasn’t called to manufacture it, but he wasn’t called to be passive with it either! 👀

That makes me wonder how often we’re waiting for more motivation, more confidence, or the perfect time to do something with what God has already placed in our lives.🤔💭

Not because everything depends on us and not because our effort earns us anything from God 🚫 but because receiving something from Him doesn’t mean we have NO responsibility for what we do with it.

Instead of only asking:

“What am I waiting for God to give me?”

We need to also ask:

“What has God already placed in my life that I need to be more intentional about?” 🙏🤎
