As the sole proprietor of ONYX Studio, Elijah Cartagena, I provide a large craft of services to any and all clientele through a one-on-one salon experience. As a Master Colorist, I pride myself in my color and highlighting techniques; having studied from Claudio Lazo in Wella Color, and taken yearly classes from Redken, and Rusk Color in the Orlando and Charlotte Hair Shows. My hair cutting and styling techniques have been learned from the Vidal Sassoon ABC's of cutting, Redken Cutting, and Rusk Texture. When it comes to styling, I am certified in The Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment, the BioIonic Agave Smoothing Treatment, and the La Brasiliana keratin treatment. I am constantly apt to learning and increasing my skill set to stay consistently current with any needs and interests the client may have.
I try to live by one simple goal: never let the client leave unhappy.
