Hi all!

We are happy to report ashlyn&co. is up and running, and we are currently scheduling appointments! Hopefully most of you were personally contacted by Olivia in the past several weeks, or received our re-opening email to be rescheduled after our shut down. If you were NOT contacted by some accident, or missed the email, here is your official confirmation that we are back!

If you are interested in scheduling a service with Ashlyn, feel free to give us a call at (984) 234-1063, or email at [email protected]. In the case of another shut down, we are also encouraging all clients to book as far ahead in advance as they are comfortable, so that we can simply pick up whenever we are able to. If you have specific scheduling constraints, please consider giving us a call to book the rest of the year out! This seems far in advance, but appointments can always be shifted if conflicts arise.

As a reminder, we are still implementing the protocols listed in our last post to take the most precautions possible against coronavirus:
-Per state regulations, a mask is required at all times inside the salon. Feel free to wear your own, we also have extras available.
-Upon entry, clients must thoroughly wash their hands with soap and water, or use hand sanitizer, which is provided.
-There are screening questions posted on the door to the salon we request each client must answer before their appointment, including details about recent travel, and personal and household member’s health.
-We still request clients maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from all others in the salon, except for the stylist.
-Clients are welcome to wait inside their car, or outside on a bench upon arrival. Please notify us of your arrival, and we will happily call or text when we are ready for you!
-*Please come alone to your appointment. Only those receiving services are allowed in the salon.*
-**If you or anyone in your household is sick with anything, please reschedule.** There will be no exceptions made with this policy, even though masks are required. We appreciate your understanding and ask for your upmost honesty and compliance! If you need to reschedule due to sickness, we will get you back in asap. If there are questions regarding your status, please call us before you come in.

Everyone’s safety is our biggest concern. We will update policies as we learn more and look forward to loosening some of these policies as we hopefully find a solution to this pandemic.

For a bit of good news, ashlyn&co. is very excited to announce that Olivia is expecting their first baby this summer!! We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet Baby Hill! Unfortunately, this means that Olivia will be leaving us soon. Thankfully, we have found Soleil to step into Olivia's shoes and be a new shining face to help welcome you back and to help us transition into our new norms at the salon.

As you all know, Phase #1 of "reopening" begins today. Salons did not make the list, so the wait continues. Currently, ashlyn&co. will NOT reopen before Tuesday, June 2, 2020 and I may decide to push that date out depending on my supplies, which are currently backordered, and based on what the state decrees.

We are developing new protocols for all of us to follow when we are able to see you again. Here are some changes that you can expect to see in the salon when you return:

-We will require that all clients wear masks for the duration of their appointment. You may bring your own or we will have masks available as you enter.
-Clients must wash hands thoroughly with soap and water upon entry. As supplies become available, we will also provide hand sanitizer throughout the salon.
-There will be a screening form to be filled out before your service.
-Everyone will have to maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from all others in the salon, except for the stylist.
-We have upgraded our sanitation procedures to ensure client safety and have also purchased an air filtration system (which is able to trap particles as small as the Covid-19 virus) to keep the air as clean as possible.
-Clients are welcome to wait outside or in their cars. Please notify us of your arrival and we will gladly text or call when we are ready for you. The current waiting rooms will also be available. We will no longer provide magazines, snacks, or beverages for the foreseeable future. Bummer!

As soon as we have an opening date, we will reach out to all of you to get you back on the schedule. Please be aware that due to new protocols and guidelines set by the state we will no longer be able to see as many clients per day as we once did. This will not only affect the appointments already on the books, but will also cause an even longer wait to get back in. We truly understand how frustrating this is. It is frustrating for us, too! If any of you need to make other arrangements or would like input on how to DIY at home, please do not hesitate to continue to reach out to me for recommendations. In the meantime, I promise we will do our best to get everyone in as fast as possible.

On a very personal note:
I have missed all of you very much. I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love and to work with all of you. You have become some of my closest friends and are like family to me. You are why I love what I do. I have gotten way more back from all of you than I have ever been able to give, and I just want you to know how grateful I am.

Hey Everybody!
In case you haven’t heard ashlyn&co, and all salons are closed until the end of April. However, I am here for any DYI hair guidance!!
Olivia, Ellie and I have been keeping busy. I am cooking and baking. Ellie bravely decided to cut her own bangs and she did a fabulous job! Olivia, well... see if you can tell what she has been up to!

Important update:

Hello everybody,

We would like to inform you that in light of current events, ashlyn&co will be closed as of today, Monday March 16th. We have currently set a tentative reopening date of Tuesday, April 7th and we will be sure to update you in the meantime as we monitor the situation. Unfortunately, all appointments between now and April 7th are canceled. We hope that all of you understand that this decision was not taken lightly, but after much consideration, we feel that temporary closure is the best way for us to do our part in preventing the unnecessary spread of COVID-19. If you do have an appointment scheduled with us between now and April 7th, please disregard any text/email reminders as those are sent out automatically.
