I met another victim of the hylaron pen today. And she stated she wishes she would’ve been more educated on needleless filler before getting the treatment but now at least she can say she went through the experience and be able to warn and educate others…

So here’s a little correction + a little education 💉✨

The photos on the left are how this client came to me after previously having her lips done with a hyaluron pen. The photos on the right are after one full syringe of filler with me.

Are they perfectly corrected after one appointment? Nope. I’ll always be transparent about that. But we were able to significantly improve the overall symmetry, balance her upper and lower lip, and camouflage a lot of the uneven texture and bumps she was left with. And with this being the results of our first session, I’m fairly confident we can get it exactly where she needs and wants to be at her follow up.

But this is also your reminder to VET. YOUR. PROVIDER.

A hyaluron pen is not simply a “needle-free version” of traditional filler. It uses high pressure to force product into the tissue, giving the provider far less control over exactly where that product is being placed. The FDA specifically warns against needle-free devices like hyaluron pens for dermal filler and says they have been associated with serious injuries, including permanent damage to the skin, lips, and eyes.

I have so many people ask me if I quit nursing to do this full time. No, I am still very much a medical professional. I am injecting specific products into your body. You should want and only receive treatment feom a medical professional. Because filler is a medical procedure, even when the goal is cosmetic. Know who is treating you. Ask about their license, schooling, training and experience if you need to. Make sure they understand facial anatomy and, just as importantly, know how to recognize and manage a complication if one happens.

Cheap, convenient or “needle-free” does not automatically mean safer. You only get one face. Please be picky about who you trust with it.🤍

Just a little housekeeping regarding prepaid slots 💜

I’ve had a few more people reach out asking for refunds because they’ve changed their minds, so I want to make sure I’m being super clear about how these work moving forward.

Unless there is an emergency that directly affects your ability to receive treatment or a pregnancy, prepaid slots are nonrefundable. These appointments are extremely limited, they go FAST, and they’re offered at a pretty insane discount. The money from these sales goes directly toward ordering product and supplies for those appointments.

When you claim a slot, you’re also taking one that someone else would have happily grabbed. Asking for a refund weeks or months later because you changed your mind puts the business in a really difficult position, and unfortunately I just can’t continue making exceptions.

I’m always very upfront about the dates and guidelines before these are purchased. Yes, prepaid appointments usually mean waiting a little longer — sometimes 3+ weeks — but that wait is part of the tradeoff for getting such a discounted price, and for most of you that savings is absolutely worth it.

A couple other things I need to tighten up:

✨ If you request an invoice, you have until midnight that day to pay it. After that, it will be canceled.

✨ Prepaid slots are first come, first served. If someone else pays before you, the available slot may be gone and your invoice will be canceled.

✨ I can see when invoices are delivered and viewed. If you specifically ask me to send you an invoice and then view it and ignore it, I will skip over you the next time I offer a prepaid sale. I hate even having to say that, but creating and keeping track of invoices takes time too.

One of the hardest parts of growing my business has been learning how to set professional boundaries with people who have also become important to me personally. I genuinely love my clients, and I think that’s exactly why I’ve struggled with being strict about certain things. But as my business grows, so does the number of people I’m scheduling, messaging, invoicing and trying to accommodate — and I have to have rules that apply across the board.

I hate making posts like this, and I know it probably feels like I’ve had to make more of them lately. I promise it’s not because I’m becoming less appreciative or less flexible. It’s actually the opposite.. there are just SO many more of you now. 🥹 And with growth comes having to make sure everyone understands how these sales work so I can continue offering them.

If prepaid slots come back in 2027, these boundaries will have to be followed consistently for me to keep doing them.
