Hello former Head South clients💜
We said goodbye to our beloved Karela, but her spirit will carry on as long as her name continues to be on our lips!
If you know us, you know that we were haunted by the original owner, Dick Young. He still wanted to be in charge of our salon!
Well, the good news is that I gave Karela FULL permission to haunt us. Her spirit has taken over the salon and I couldn’t be happier to let Dick move along!

Hey guys. It’s Steph.
In celebration of Karela’s 2nd successful craniotomy and to welcome her home tomorrow, I am gonna be adding some plantings at her house. She can watch these grow as she recovers. And if they bear fruits, veggies, or flowers, she can enjoy the benefits aesthetically and nutritionally! I will be using containers as I feel they will be easier to maintain.
If you are a gardener and you want to contribute, you can drop off seedling or propagations, old containers, or even product of your already successful garden. (Mine or Karelas porch so as not to disturb her) We can nurture her soul and her body together.
Thank you for continuing to support her on this journey. We love you all!

Karela worked behind the chair as a stylist and as a salon owner until she couldn’t see to do hair anymore, literally!
There have been some changes in Karela’s status, so I have updated the go fund me account to reflect the current needs. If you are able, please consider making a donation today. If you can’t donate, please go to the go fund me page and share the link directly from there to your social media and make your post plublic. People are more likely to clink on the link from their FB friend directly rather than from sharing my post. The more who see it, the more chances we are to meet our goals.
Karela isn’t asking for food at this time. She is humbly asking for donations. She stresses though, only if you are able!
