The past year has been full of traumatic and tumultuous transitions. I made the decision to close the salon for the day of Karela’s funeral. We apologize if your appointment was affected.
She worked until the day that they found the tumor. Literally. We wanted to honor her life and her lifetime behind the chair as the kind and generous and loving hairdresser that she was.
In no way do we wish Karela’s former clients to be forced to find a new salon home.
When sickness hit, we scrambled to honor every client’s appointment. Above all, we wanted the clients needs to be met.
As Karela has said more times than I can count, hair is not an emergency. Honoring her life and participating in her end of life care was my priority.
If your salon home was uprooted due to our circumstances, we would like to invite you back. She loved you. We love you. All shall be well, my friends.
