october is my favorite nail month 🥰🥰

okay yall 😅😅

first picture is one of my girls that i ran into at walmart. she showed me her nails and it’s been 5 weeks since her appointment😝👏🏽

second picture is my moms nails today, and somehow it’s been 9 WEEKS. i haven’t had time to get her in, sue me😭

before anyone gets any ideas- I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THIS LONG BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS. we actually booked my client for a new set right there in walmart because she definitely needs it 😂

BUT let’s talk education real quick. this is a great example of why retention matters. good retention means your enhancement stays properly attached with minimal lifting or breakage. but going so long between sets means moisture can get underneath, lifting can happen, and your nails become much more prone to damage.

the longer you go between appointments, the more the structure and apex grows out. once that balance is off, the nails can become much weaker and there’s a higher risk of breaks, cracks, and injury to your natural nail.

remember…retention is important, but so is maintenance✨

my ultimate goal is for your nails to last beautifully between appointments..but not to test just how many weeks you can push it 😂

but this kind of retention is what every nail tech wants because it’s a moment of us thinking “damn, i’m good” when you see it😂 so i definitely give myself a pat on the back when i see my girls sets lasting so long 👏🏽
