In 2025, over 316,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 42,000+ will lose their lives. Men are affected too, 1 in 726 will face this battle.

That’s why Smooth Cutz by JonB proudly partners with the Pretty in Pink Foundation, Bubbles Galore LLC, and Lotta Bodi Boutique for our annual project: “Not All Heroes Wear Capes.”

In our society, we often view Military Service Members, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Doctors, and Nurses as heroes, and rightfully so. But at Smooth Cutz, we also recognize the unsung heroes: the Barbers and Stylists who serve the community daily. We may not wear capes…we drape them. Yet even we stand humbled beside the true heroes, the women and men who have fought and continue to fight battles against Breast Cancer, Lupus, Domestic Violence, and Mental Health challenges.

So, we invite you, not merely to donate, but to join the movement. Be a light. Be a voice. Be a part of change.

Because this is how WE fight our battle, unified, resolute, and together as one.

As October begins, we are reminded that it is more than just the turning of a season, it is the month in which we heighten awareness, amplify voices, and stand in solidarity for Breast Cancer Awareness. At Smooth Cutz by JonB, we embrace this call through our philanthropy project, “Not All Heroes Wear Capes.”

This initiative is not simply about giving, but about embodying a philosophy of service, where every contribution becomes an act of empowerment. This year, all proceeds and donations will support the Pretty In Pink Foundation, an organization that represents compassion in action by aiding those engaged in the courageous fight against breast cancer.

Barbers have long stood as more than craftsmen of style; we have been custodians of community, healers of spirit, and leaders of change. Through this endeavor, we reaffirm that legacy.
