Something has been happening lately that I wasn’t expecting.
Several people have stopped me at work and told me:
“Your posts have been blessing me.”
Some have said something I shared reached them exactly when they needed it. Others have told me that my willingness to talk about faith, leadership and purpose has given them more freedom to bring their whole selves to work.
I don’t take that lightly.
Especially because God has been doing some serious work on my mind and now, my mouth.
We’ve been studying Kingdom Shift. First, the shift was about our mindset. This week:
Shift Your Mouth.
In Numbers 13–14, twelve leaders saw the same land, the same giants and the same promise.
Ten essentially said: We can’t.
Two said: We can.
Same circumstances. Different confession.
And this stopped me:
They didn’t need a new promise. They needed a new confession.
Because when my mouth agrees with my fear, I can struggle to walk in the very assignment given to me.
Recently, I spent time asking God:
Who have You called me to be?
He reminded me of four words:
Minister. Speaker. Teacher. Encourager.
Yet sometime I allow myself to say:
I’m not good enough. I’m not smart enough.
Do you see the contradiction?
I cannot ask God to show me who He’s called me to be and then continue speaking a version of myself He didn’t call.
That’s grasshopper language.
I am reminded to replace it with Kingdom language.
From “I can’t” to “God can.”
From “What if?” to “What did God say?”
From speaking about how big the problem is to reminding the problem how big God is.
A renewed mind requires a renewed mouth.
What I believe, what I think and what I speak must align.
So I’m watching my words differently these days.
Not because every situation is easy.
Not because everything has worked out.
But because I refuse to let the problem become bigger in my mouth than God is in my life.
Maybe your next Kingdom shift isn’t a new opportunity.
Maybe it’s a new confession.
What language have you been speaking…grasshopper or Kingdom?

Restoration is priority #1

During seasons of transition, uncertainty, and growth, I’ve learned that I cannot anchor myself to circumstances that constantly change. I have to anchor myself to what is steadfast, faithful, and unchanging.
For me, that foundation is my faith.
I know conversations about spirituality can be uncomfortable for some, and I deeply respect that each person walks their own path. But I also believe authenticity means sharing what has carried me.
So, with humility and unapologetic conviction, I can say this is true for me:
• He is my refuge and my home.
• His everlasting arms are beneath me when I feel weak.
• He goes before me, preparing the path I cannot yet see.
• He fights battles I was never meant to fight alone.
Does that mean life becomes easy? Not at all. There will still be uncertainty. There will still be disappointment. There will still be seasons that stretch us beyond what feels comfortable. But, I know I am not carrying seasons by myself.
The same One who has faithfully carried me through every storm in my past will faithfully carry me into whatever lies ahead.
As leaders, we often spend our lives being the strong one for everyone else. We solve problems. We make decisions. We carry responsibilities that few people ever see.
Wellness isn’t just about caring for our bodies or protecting our minds. It’s also about caring for our souls.
Whether you’re navigating a career transition, leading through uncertainty, or simply carrying more than anyone realizes, my hope is that you find an anchor that gives you peace.

One lesson this season has reinforced:
Leadership isn’t proving you’re needed every minute of every day.
It’s intentionally building people, systems, and processes together so the work continues even when you step away.
Resilience isn’t always found in doing more.
Sometimes it’s found in leading with grace, protecting your peace, and trusting what you’ve built.
Leadership isn’t about being indispensable.
It’s about making others successful.
Because leaders who never rest eventually have nothing left to give.
Restore. Renew. Rise.

I heard a song recently called “That’s What The Pain Taught Me”. After hearing the song my spirit wouldn’t let me rest. So, I have been seeking God about pain and His power over it. Hallelujah! God’s word is a two edge sword that divides His truth from ours. For now women of God be encouraged - pain does not have the final say. More to come….

Why Serenity Blue Exists
Have you ever wanted something so badly that you prayed for it, worked for it, envisioned it, and finally achieved it?
Then one day you woke up and thought:
“What did I get myself into?”
Not because you failed.
Because you succeeded.
The promotion.
The leadership role.
The business.
The responsibility.
The influence.
Everything you asked God for.
Yet somehow, you found yourself exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering why no one warned you about this part.
I know because I’ve been there.
There was a season when I found myself burned out, emotionally drained, and carrying the weight of everyone else’s expectations while silently neglecting my own needs.
As leaders, caregivers, mothers, wives, daughters, and executives, we often convince ourselves that exhaustion is simply the price of success.
We tell ourselves:
“You asked for this.”
“People are counting on you.”
“Keep pushing.”
So we suffer in silence.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Restoration is not weakness.
Restoration is necessary.
Serenity Blue was born from that realization.
Not from a desire to sell products.
But from a desire to create a safe space for women who spend their lives pouring into everyone else.
A space to pause.
To breathe.
To cry if needed.
To release stress.
To be cared for instead of always being the caregiver.
A place where executive women, leaders, and caregivers can simply be human.
Because behind many successful women is a story no one sees.
And if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by the very thing you once prayed for, I want you to know something:
You are not the only one.
And you don’t have to carry it alone.
SelfCare CaregiverWellness Restoration
For years, I kept the major parts of my life separate.
• My executive career.
• My ministry.
• My entrepreneurial journey.
I believed each belonged in its own lane. Professional life stayed on LinkedIn.
Ministry stayed at church. Entrepreneurship stayed within Serenity Blue.
Recently, I had a realization. These were never separate paths. They were always part of the same purpose. Throughout my career, I’ve helped organizations transform and people grow through leadership and talent development.
As a licensed minister, I’ve been called to encourage, serve, and help people discover purpose and healing.
As the founder of Serenity Blue, I’ve become increasingly passionate about helping women prioritize restoration, wellness, and self-care.
Different roles. One mission. Helping people transform and thrive.
Looking back, I can see how every chapter—including my educational journey, military service, executive leadership experiences, ministry work, and entrepreneurship—has prepared me for this moment.
I no longer see these as separate identities. I see them as one calling…my purpose.
As I continue to grow professionally, spiritually, and entrepreneurially, I look forward to sharing more about leadership, wellness, restoration, and transformation.
Because the strongest leaders understand that success and restoration are not opposing forces. They work together.
