My client was a traditional highlight girly for YEARS… until today when she sat in my chair and hit me with the, “I still want to be blonde, but I want it to look more natural.”
Music to my ears. 🎶✨
Say no more, girl. We ditched the high-maintenance highlight look and created a softer, more lived-in blonde with plenty of dimension.

There’s something so surreal about opening packages from brands I used to admire through a phone screen. 🤍
I think about younger me a lot lately — the girl who was practicing on mannequin heads, staying up late watching hair videos, dreaming about one day being “good enough” to be noticed by the brands and artists she looked up to. The girl who hoped this could become more than just a hobby. More than just a dream.
And now here I am… opening a PR package from a brand I’ve respected for so long, in a career I prayed would work out, with clients who trust me every single day. It’s easy to get caught up in what’s next, what could be bigger, what still hasn’t happened yet — but moments like this remind me to stop and realize I’m already living answers to prayers I once whispered quietly to myself.
This isn’t just about hair products. It’s about growth. Consistency. Taking chances on yourself. Continuing even when nobody was watching yet.

My client hated her hair so I redid it… lets talk about it
At her consultation, we talked about wanting a soft, natural, dimensional blonde. Think: rooty, blended, low maintenance, and a grow-out that still looks pretty weeks later. So that’s exactly what we created (see second picture)
But once she saw it in person… she hated it. 😅
Not because the color was “bad” — it actually turned out exactly like the inspiration and words we discussed — but because what she really wanted was to SEE brightness starting right at the scalp. She wanted to feel blonde immediately, not softly transitioned into it.
And honestly? That happens more than people think.
Sometimes what sounds good in theory isn’t what feels good when you’re wearing it every day. “Lived-in,” “rooty,” “natural,” and “dimensional” can mean completely different things depending on the person sitting in the chair.
So at her second appointment, we changed the game plan completely:
