✨It’s time I introduce myself… I’m Caycee Robinson, Owner here at The Velvet Mane Extension & Color Bar. Many of you have seen me in passing, but I shy away from the spotlight when it comes to socials. I’m the captain of the ship, the voice on the other end of the phone, and the responder to all texts and emails! I never thought I’d command such a great group of talented artists and I take pride in showcasing their wonderful creations. I’m a dog mom to Otis, a 6 year old Old English Sheepdog, a Charlotte native, a determined & wildly independent Capricorn, and a lover of all things travel. I designed the salon space, with the help of my fiercely stylish sister and enjoy the classics of interior design. I have a fantastic loyal clientele that makes it hard to meet new clients in my chair, but would love to know each of you on a personal level… even if only guiding you to your perfect stylist pairing based on your hair goals! I look forward to seeing each of your transformations and can’t wait to welcome you to our little salon here in Charlotte. 💕

+ Our lovely neighbors have a shared free parking lot behind their location, that allows a quick 2 minute walk to our salon. Please be courteous and allow parking for their clientele!

The Velvet Mane would love to introduce one of our independent stylists, Renee. Renee is a Vidal Sassoon trained Master Stylist from Denver, Colorado. Graduating from the Aveda Institute Denver in 2007, she then worked at the Aveda Academy, where she quickly became one of the top stylists in Denver and continued garnering honors and accolades at the Academy for over six years. She then took her talents to Savannah, Georgia, continuing her career at B Street Salon, voted “Best Salon In Savannah” four years in a row. B Street Salon is known for its John Sahag dry-cutting technique. Renee had the opportunity to learn this technique from Monica McMasters, who worked closely with John Sahag throughout his career. Renee now combines dry cutting and wet cutting on every guest. From the cutest city in the South to the biggest city in the country was the next move for Renee as she headed north to New York City and joined Salon Orchard, the #1 rated salon in the ultra-hip Lower East Side neighborhood! She continued to hone her craft in this fast-paced environment, still taking the time to make sure every guest felt pampered and walked out of the salon, absolutely LOVING their new look! Renee is classically trained and specializes in balayage, color melting, highlights, dimensional brunettes and precision cutting. One of her favorite parts of being a stylist is making her guests look their best and sharing the knowledge to make their hair look salon-quality at home.
