Jan Havmoeller put up bullets in races three and four and it turned out to be the difference as he won a thrilling tie breaker with John Harrop to take the 2026 Atlanta Rebel Rouser MC Regatta. Both skippers finished with net scores of 20 points over 8 races, but when the tie breaker was applied, Jan's bullets reigned supreme!! If we go back to Dave Forrest's win in 2021, this makes five years in a row that C*C has won the event. Dave won 2021 and Jan has won 2022-2026. Congratulations Jan. C*C is proud of you.

20 C*C members gathered today, May 3, 2025 to earn their First Aid-CPR certifications. Ann Crehore, Vice Commodore for Membership and Safety organized the session at the C*C clubhouse which included 4.5 hours of instruction and hands on practice. The majority of the morning focused on a variety of first aid best practices and then segued into CPR training. The course also included in-depth instruction on the use of the C*C AED. C*C maintains a complete first aid kit and AED in the clubhouse kitchen. Secondary first aid kits are at the rowing shelter and the sailing race committee boat. We should all feel a bit safer at C*C knowing that over 20 members are newly certified in first aid, CPR, and AED use. Thank you Ann Crehore for organizing this. Christy Burfurd caught it all on film here.https://www.amazon.com/photos/shared/0a-164cVRYG5HFZeXz1wiQ.Mgw9r61rUG2Sxu9fNnKqA4

The crew enjoyed a dinner of pizza, salad, and brownies before the awards were handed out. Christy Burford caught it all on camera for us (THANK YOU, CHRISTY). Jan Havmoeller sailed 7-13-1-13 for a total of 34 points at the MC Southeastern Regionals . He placed FOURTH out of 47 boats and that put him in the top five - the trophy division. He was second in the Masters class to multi-national champion and the builder of our boats, Andy Burdick. Quite an accomplishment. Will post pictures ASAP.
