Without our clients and our stylists, H2Blow is really just four walls.

Thank you to every person who has walked through our doors, sat in our chairs, worked behind them, referred a friend, left a review or simply cheered us on. You are the reason we’ve been part of this community for eight years.

It’s not lost on me that most small businesses don’t make it through their first few years—much less a pandemic that forced us to close for five months. There have been highs, lows, lots of lessons and definitely a few gray hairs along the way. 😂

Owning your own business is a never-ending job. If you’re in it for the money, you probably picked the wrong journey. I once did the math on my hours and believe I make somewhere around $4.15 an hour. 😂

But the why was never really about the money.

The why has always been empowering women—the talented women behind the chair who have chosen H2Blow to build their careers and the women we are graced to serve every day. A place where women can grow, support their families, feel valued and hopefully leave feeling a little better than when they walked in.

Call me old school, but I still believe in the Steel Magnolias version of the beauty industry.

A salon that feels like a home base. Where people know your name—and probably know a little too much about your life. 😉 Where we celebrate weddings, babies, new jobs and graduations, and sit together through losses, divorces and hard seasons. Where you laugh until you cry and occasionally cry until you laugh.

Lofts and salon suites have changed our industry, but this is what I never want us to lose: a true salon. A team. A community. A place where you belong.

To every stylist who has called H2Blow home and every client who has trusted us with their hair—and often a little piece of their lives—thank you.

Eight years later, I’m incredibly grateful for this little set of four walls and everyone who has filled them. ❤️
