My guest usually goes for her signature curls, but this time we switched things up a little. Same short hair, completely different vibe. These coils with those pops of color gave her a whole new look without having to change the cut.

Because sometimes you don’t want something new… you just want something different.

A pixie doesn’t have to be super short to make a statement. This length gives me room to play with the curls, create movement, and still keep that signature pixie look.

And this one? Yeah… she’s giving.

I had every intention of showing you the full process… and then somewhere in the middle, recording clearly became optional.

The prep was there, the vision was there, and thankfully the finished look still came together.

Sometimes you just have to trust that I did what needed to be done…documented or not. 😭

Today, I get to marry my person.

There are some moments in life that you dream about, pray about, and patiently wait for… and then one day, the moment is finally here.

8.8.26 ~ I’m getting married.

The consultation is one of the most important parts of any appointment.

The best part of the appointment was watching my guest stand up, check the back of her hair in the mirror, and smile. That reaction said everything about the finished look.

My client knew exactly what she wanted and came prepared with her inspiration photo. During the consultation, we talked through the look, her current length, and what it would take to bring this short style to life. The finished look is coming next!

She came in ready for a fresh start after cutting off her locs, and today I got to bring her pixie vision to life.

Once I relaxed her hair, you could really see the length that was there, and from there I was able to shape and style her new look.

During her consultation, we discussed her inspiration, the thickness of her natural hair and what she can expect once her hair is relaxed. Although it looks very short in its natural state, relaxing it will reveal more of the length she already has and give us a foundation for her pixie cut.
