I just ran a 5K at Elevation Church - Lake Norman campus, for their ! The 5K is benefitting Children’s Hope Alliance, an organization that helps Foster and adoptive children in NC. Such a worthy cause, and first time I’ve ran/walked a 5K for charity, and received a time and stats! Never too late to join one and make an impact for the community at the same time🙂 Have a blessed weekend!! Thank You Kendra Wright for the encouragent and hosting events in the community this week to make a change, and give the glory to God🙌🏽🤩🥳

This post is not beauty related, per se. But it is business related, because to really grow as a person and to grow a business, we constantly need to have a “growth mindset”. And I’m learning that for myself, gaining confidence and knowing I can finish what I set out to accomplish is HUGE! 🎉

Yesterday and today I set out to accomplish a landscaping project. And I underestimated the time I would need to complete it. I also underestimated my supplies. Thankfully I have a supportive husband who took me back to the store a second time, to complete the purchase of needed supplies and to do the heavy lifting! I had never done anything like this before, but figured it was a “small” area so it should be done in a small amount of time.

There’s nothing small about it! And it took me two days (several hours each day) to plan, measure, unroll, stake, cut, pour, rake, and do All of The Things! I felt hot and tired and wasn’t sure I’d complete it today. I started to feel a bit ill from the sun. But now that I’m on the other side of the project, I’m so happy I didn’t just stop. I have a huge sense of accomplishment for sticking with it, seeing it thru, and knowing I Gave it my ALL! I’m so thankful we had the ability to purchase what we needed for the project, and that I had help when I asked and needed it (my son came out for a bit to help roll the lining and place stakes, and my husband lifted heavy bags and supplies, to minimize what I needed to move. Who knew bags of dirt were SO heavy and dense!) Asking for help does not come naturally for me, but I definitely needed help! So all of that was my “Hard” and I learned something new!
