We are always looking for good investments aren't we? Why not invest in your health?? So often I hear people tell me they cannot avoid eating processed foods because it is too expensive to eat healthy. Or they cannot try taking fruit and veggies in a capsules-- because of cost. But did you know it is going to cost you more in the long run for all of the doctors visits, prescription meds and over the counter stuff??? I can honestly say that my husband and I have only spent $ on yearly physicals and chiropractor appointments over the last 4-5 years, for us and our kids (this is of course minus birth expenses). Look at what we have saved from being healthy! Look at how we have been able to be present at work and in the lives of those we love most because we have not been sick! Investing in your health is not just for today, it is for a lifetime! You don't want you poor health choices today to be causing you lingering and chronic health problems later. Invest in You!

🍽 Ahhh, the classic Green Bean Casserole. This 67-year-old Thanksgiving staple was invented in 1955 by Campbell’s Soup Company employee Dorcas Reilly in Campbell’s Home Economics Department (now the Test Kitchen) in Camden, NJ. It is estimated to grace the Thanksgiving tables of 20 million Americans yearly.

It has been a little while since I last posted. A lot has been going on in the life of my family but I am hoping that I can get back to maintaining this page, a little better. With that being said, I always want to help encourage you to find healthier ways to navigate your life—through food, exercise, rest, self care, mental care and even activities to rejuvenate your spirit.
Today I want to encourage you to lay down the fake sugar and sugar substitutes (sweet n low, equal, Splenda, sucralose, fructose, dextrose and of course Aspartame). All of these “sugar free” substitutes are chemically made and more damaging to our bodies than actual sugar is. Please read your labels and know what you are putting into your body! When we fill our bodies with chemical substitutes for something that is natural, it causes our bodies to gain weight or it creates a sickness in our body of some kind. Check out the side effects of Aspartame on your body. Even if you cannot relate to any of these, please think twice before picking up something that is “sugar free.” Our goal should be to be able to give more of ourselves to our family and we cannot do that if we are chronically sick.

How we keep our bodies functioning as they should is by fueling them with whole food nutrition based in fruits ans veggies! But if you’re anything like me, it’s difficult to eat the 8-13 servings of fruits and veggies you need in each day. That’s where bridging the gap with comes into play!
