🌸 Ayurvedic DETOXifying Foot Bath 🌸
We survived winter & Kapha season (spring) has arrived! The water and earth elements abound & with them will often emerge heavy emotions, expectations, and attachments. There may also be an increase in congestion (hello, allergens) & stagnation (both body and mind).
This means it’s time to sweat it out & lean into the mysteries of the unknown as the world around you begins to bud and blossom!
This foot soak is perfect for springtime—the ginger and baking soda encourage sweating and the release of toxins, soothes sore muscles & joints….while the lemon is uplifting & energizing, which is needed during this earthy season.
Sitting in the sun is encouraged for a dose of natural uplift ☀️…or choose indoors with some herbal tea & music jams of choice if it’s stormy outside.
What You Need:
•Your beautiful body
•1 Tbsp ginger powder
•1 Tbsp baking soda
•1/4 c epsom salt
•Few drops lemon essential oil
*Use less ginger if sensitive to skin irritation

G R O U N D I N G
Allow for pockets of moments throughout the day to sit, breathe, feel. There will always be some form of external chaos & frenzy—making it even more important to cultivate a space within that’s connected & still.
Sitting on the ground if possible, sensing the hips connect to Mama Earth beneath. Each exhale anchors you deeper. Closing the eyes, feel the body breathe, the heart beat. Falling into the natural rhythm of inhale & exhale.
Inviting in those parts of you that feel untethered, ungrounded, or maybe unseen. Invite them to rest on this sacred plot of earth you found.
Feel yourself sitting on the earth—all these layers of your past that have created the ground you sit upon. All the layers that have led you to here, this moment.
Feel above you and all around you—this sense of unfolding, of becoming. The expansion of the future, the unknown, the moment you’re moving into.
Then feel your body in between the two—between the past that you now sit upon, and the unfolding of the future. Feel your body here, N O W, in the present. Grounded. Still. Calm.
Chaos & frenzy will always exist. Can you find a little piece of earth to sit, breathe & connect? 🏔️🧘🏻

C O C O N U T season🥥
The heat has arrived, and it can feel like a part-time job trying to stay hydrated. Anyone? You drink a lot of water, but still feel parched and low on energy? 🥵
Ayurveda looooves coconut water because it replenishes all those electrolytes lost in sweat, and rehydrates the body. Replenishing electrolytes are an important part of cell health, and cells are kind of a big deal. Nourished cells, nourished body! Coconut water is also a natural coolant, keeping our internal temp balanced. It’ll boost your energy while keeping that anger/impatience gauge in check. Yessss, please.
Bonus: it’s delicious!
Not your thing? Try lemon water with a pinch of salt instead. Your cells will thank you🍋

How do you like to stay cool in the summer?
Pitta season is here with all that heat! Some people handle (even love!) the high heat better than others, but I’m not one of those people. Warm enough for a summer dress, but not so hot I’m sweating please🙏🏼
Ayurveda has some tips and tricks for keeping the mind and body cool and balanced.
A Few Don’ts of Summer:
🔥Avoid spicy, salty and sour foods. I know, so many tasty things! They’ll heat the body from the inside out, making it difficult to cool back down. How this might show up? Anger, irritability, impatience, acid reflux, skin irritation/conditions are a few sure signs it’s time to take a few steps back and cool those jets.
🔥You know that intense work out you love doing? Just make sure you adjust the time so it’s not during 10am-2pm. This is during the Pitta bodyclock time of day, and the fire element is in high gear!
🔥 Same time applies for avoiding direct sun. Seek that shade!
🔥 Avoid overextending yourself and (un)necessary commitments that will lead to stress. This is a great time to adopt a meditation practice, and start hitting up that yin or restorative yoga class on the regular🧘🏻…also a great time for boundary creating, and learning to say “no”
