Open Position: Choir Director / Church Musician
Meadows Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, VA would love to hear from musically-talented professionals interested in our open position. We are currently seeking a part-time interim Church Musician/Choir Director (with option for long-term employment). The choir director works with the Pastor, Praise Team Leader, and other musicians in the church. Responsibilities for the interim position are: help select music for worship, play piano during worship (optional: play organ), lead and practice with the adult choir, and communicate with church staff as needed. We are looking for applicants with excellent keyboard skills who can lead four-part adult choir and participate in worship on Sundays from 9:30-12, plus lead choir practice on Wednesday evenings for 1.5 hours. The pay for this interim role is $250/week.
