As some of you may know my son Royal passed away on the 18th at just 1month old which is the primary reason why I am not in the shop at this time. He will be laid to rest on Monday the 2nd at 2pm . Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated and donations and flowers are appreciated please reach out if you wish to do so I thank each and everyone of you for your support and understanding at this difficult time and knowing that I’m coming back to the shop soon give me comfort over grief thanks for your support and I’ll see you guys soon

"How much for a fade?" the little boy asked, clutching a few dollar bills.
The barbershop was in a rough neighborhood. Most kids dropped out of school early.
Griffin, the barber, had a rule.
"Put your money away," Griffin said. "Go to that bookshelf."

He pointed to a shelf full of children's books.
"You pick a book. You read it to me out loud while I cut. If you finish the book, the haircut is free."

The boy grabbed a book and sat in the chair.
For 20 minutes, Griffin cut hair while the boy stumbled through the words. Griffin helped him with the hard ones.
"Sound it out," Griffin encouraged. "You got this."

The boy left with a fresh cut and a newfound confidence in reading.
