Leah Sampson - Color Specialist
SComfortable SAFE space, VIBES ONLY 🌈 🚫NO DM CONSULTATIONS I’m all about making hair feel healthy, low-maintenance, and you.
Hey, I’m Leah — your go-to for lived-in blondes, effortless luxury, and good conversation. My salon space is quiet, chill, and full of good energy (and probably a little true crime talk). Check out my work + book online at www.leahdoesmyhair.com
I just wanna share this with you guys to remind you to focus on the positive
Sometimes we get so focused on what people don’t like about us that we forget that there are people out there that love us exactly the way we are.
Evolution should happen on your terms organically and periodically …. Not bc someone else said so 🙌🏽
say hello to my special guest!!
Yall be nice to her please 🫶🏽
Today we’re talking about price and how you do not have a pricing issue. You have a confidence issue
If you like my special guest comment below, she will want to return again
Can we have a real conversation about why we share our cost of doing business with our clients?
Personally I don’t think it matters…
Does Starbucks make announcements on how much their coffee collars cost?
Let’s chat ! 💬 how do you feel about posting your supply cost to explain/justify your prices ?
“No one ever gets my hair right.”
As a stylist, this is the sentence we never want to hear. 😐
But here’s the truth — most of the time it’s not about skill. It’s about the consultation.
When you know how to ask the right questions, decode what your client is really asking for, and align expectations upfront, you stop guessing and start delivering every. single. time.
Your clients deserve to leave obsessed. And so do you. 💪

I’m excited about this new series I’m about to start !!
Tell me how you handle this situation?
I’m in love with Goddess Pro 🫶🏽🫶🏽
I genuinely care for my clients…
I knew she was going to love this base break but I decided to do it anyway bc…
A lot of times we need to see it on us to make an informed decision.
I told her what would happen and what I could do if she was unhappy. And guess what …
I didn’t charge her for the second appointment. It didn’t feel right, I didn’t want to, I didn’t need to… and now the trust is even stronger.
In just want my clients to understand their hair and be happy with it.
Has this ever happened to you ?? Thankfully I had a 6n from (got it from x ) content chronicles class !! And we softened her roots 🫶🏽
RESULTS !!!
But there is a part 3 coming soon …
And I can’t wait to share what happens after this session 🫶🏽
For my base break I use Igora Royal High lift 12-21 🙌🏽
Sometimes clients need to see what they are asking for to understand if they like it or not.

The things nobody told me when I started doing hair — but I wish they did 👇
I used to think saying yes to everything and being “professional” was the way to build a clientele. It wasn’t. Here’s what actually made me more money:
1. Honest consultations will always outperform saying yes to everything.
The moment I started having real conversations about what your hair can actually do instead of just taking your money — my clients stopped leaving. They started referring. Honesty is the most underrated business skill behind the chair.
2. Your personality is your most valuable asset.
People don’t just book hair. They book YOU. When I stopped performing a “professional” version of myself and just showed up as who I actually am, my books filled faster than any sale or promotion ever did. Authenticity attracts the right clients and repels the wrong ones — and that’s a good thing.
3. Managing expectations before the appointment is what protects you after it.
Be upfront about the time, the cost, and what’s realistic for their hair. An uncomfortable conversation at the consultation is always better than an unhappy client at the shampoo bowl. Set the standard early and your clients will respect you for it.
The stylists who last in this industry aren’t just talented. They’re honest, they’re real, and they know how to communicate.
